      Talking hello can u help?

Hello everyone i found this site while i was searching for lucid dreams. because i keep having these dreams, i'm not sure we're talking about the same thing,
i usually take a nap after school in the afternoon i noticed that's when they keep happening, this is really scary, I hear a loud horn type of noise very loud, like bass or a boat's horn, i can tell im in a dream and see my room but i can move and this really scary, they're usually short and i wake up stressed out and tense, anyone knows what is this, and what is it good for, beacuse i'm freaking out everytime i have one, is quite frequent and frankly a lil strange, has anyone heard of anything like this?

      Thanks

You are entering classic sleep paralysis with hypnogogic sounds. If you can get to that place reliably, you can take the next step into a full lucid!

Try reading through the tutorial section, particularly thehe WILD techniques. Those should answer many of your questions. Others will surely come along here with more experience.

When I get to the point you describe, it is very exciting for me because I know it is just one tiny step into a full lucid dream!

      Hi Ab5trak,
I am also new to this forum. They say the horn honking is due to a sleep condition called: hypnagogic or hypnopompic. I didnt know this until today. I was also looking for an answer to the same question. Mine sounds like a car horn. Its very loud and startling. But what they call hypnagogic or hypnopompic I call "Twilight." An inbetween place. You are not asleep, and you are not awake. They have also said that people have great fear of something or someone watching or stalking them when they are in that place. This is not my experience. So I dont know anything about those kinds of symtoms. I know that when the horn honks Im in that place. So I lie very still to see what is going to happen next. I use the sound of the horn like a gate. An opening to that twilight world.
      I hope this helps
      Blessings

hi I won't say the two before me are wrong but this may be psychological i mean we can't forget we are talking about dreams so tell me are you stressed in every day life or do you have trouble with new things.
