Thumbs up Finally had my first LD!

Well I wake up in the morning, without remembering a dream or having a lucid. So, i decide to try to have a WILD. I stay really still and close my eyes, but make sure to keep thinking of something to keep me "awake". Once i feel that I am asleep, I decide to do a nose RC, and I can breathe! SO to make sure not to get too excited, i get out of bed very slowly (dream started in my bed). Then i decide that i want a friend to help me explore the dream world. So I spin around ... and nothing happens. So i give up and think better luck next time. Then i walk into the hallway, and try to go flying. I jump up high, and hit my head on the ceiling. Well I keep trying and then my sister comes up to me and asks me what i'm doing. I tell her that i'm dreaming and she yells at me for being stupid. Then my other sister comes by ans says that I probably am dreaming. Then i decide to go outside, and I teleport to my neighbor's house, and get yelled at for trespassing. So i run home, lose lucidity, and go to bed. And i'm thinking "What the crap I wanna dream more," but it's too late and I fall asleep in the dream world making me wake up.

Anyone have any tips on flying and summoning people, cause i had absolutely no powers

      Congratz on your LD!

Try expecting that the person is on the other side of a door or around a corner, that works for most people.
While there is a lower class, I am in it.
While there is a criminal element, I am of it.
While there is a soul in prison, I am not free.

Mooser, congratulations on your first lucid dream!

Man.. the dream characters in your dream were not helpful at all! LOL! (The neighbor yelling at you for trespassing!!) Too funny!!

I advise all those new to lucid dreaming that you don't try to set the lucid world on fire your first few dreams.. don't try to do tricks, summon people, etc. Simply go with the flow and take it all in. Get used to what being lucid FEELS like so you can ground yourself in your dreams.. that's when the tricks/stunts can happen.

Your first few dreams simply act like a tourist in a new place.. go sightseeing and take in all the different colors and sounds. You may try to increase your vividness by confidently declaring "increase lucidity" or "clarity now" but that would be the extent of control I would recommend for struggling dreamers.

I still have to remind myself the moment I become lucid to get "grounded" in my dream (i.e., make it as lucid as it could be) instead of immediately racing to do something before I lose lucidity.

One of the tricks I use to "ground" myself is to "touch" things. By touching.. I mean really "feeling" them. Get into how they feel.. are they hot, cold, smooth, rough, etc. (this also helps me remain in the dream longer.

Just remember that "the deeper the level of lucidity.. the better your lucid experience should be".

Again, congratulations and may you have many many more LDs!!
