I have had a few dreams like the following in that I realized I was dreaming but did not alter the dream; I simply terminated the dream and woke up. What I find noteworthy is the distinct feeling that I was rising up through something after I ended the dream.

Was ambling around my high school in a towel only. I wished to exit, a woman 'gatekeeper', so to speak, refused to let me pass saying, "Emasculating," but for some reason I thought she meant, "Emancipating." At that point, I realized I was dreaming and ended the dream right there. What a relief.
