lucid dream or dreaming that i did?

last night during dreaming i had horrible dream that i woke up went into the bathroom and had all sores and cuts on my feet. It was so vivid that i actually said this cant be dream and suddenly i realized i was dreaming.I roared im dreaming and started rubbing my hands together and shouting clarity but it didn't change it wasn't very vivid. I ran and jumped out the window and flew straight forward but the dream was very fuzzy and woke up in bed again but i could hear music and so knew i was dreaming but as i got out of bed i lost lucidity .

      i have a few questions

      1. was this definitely a lucid dream

      2. when i realized i was dreaming i knew i shouldn't have flown straight away but i couldn't stop myself. is this normal that during a lucid you dont have full control of what you do

      3. it seemed that while i was dreaming it was very vivid but when i awoke it seemed like a normal dream is this normal for a first timer and do they get better

      4. i have been trying to wild for about 10 days does having a ld make that easier.

      thanks for listening

That which the dream shows is the shadow of such wisdom as exists in man, even if during his waking state he may know nothing about it... We do not know it because we are fooling away our time with outward and perishing things, and are asleep in regard to that which is real within ourselves. Philipus Aureolus Paracelsus

      1) From your description, I think so.

      2) People don't always have full control in LDs. Levels of control vary from person to person and also depend on experience.

      3) This is a false awakening. When one of these happen, you forget that you were dreaming because you think that you've just woken up, but you were still in a dream. False awakenings happen a lot, even to experts. You can practice recovering from them by doing reality checks immediately after you apparently wake up.

      4) Having a LD doesn't necessarily make WILDing easier, but it definitely motivates you to some extent.

If you have any more questions, just feel free to ask.
