      Reality checks...

Sorry Sandform, I don't understand what you mean, can you explain it in greater detail?

Well, ok, I know a lot of people here get angry if I talk about drugs, but its the only analogy I can think of.

When you do weed, alot of newbies often wonder "am I high?" which in it of itself is obvious that you are! Obviously if you have to ask if your high, then you are high, because you would not be asking yourself if your not high when you aren't high.

So why is it that in a dream, when I feel the need to do a RC, I actually need to do a RC? I mean, I know the reason why we do them, to become aware that we are sleeping...but it would seem that for me, needing to do a RC would be enough to make me aware i'm asleep. But it is not, I feel like a dork for needing to do them.

OK, I understand what you're talking about, but if you make RC's during the day, then it may become a habit, and you may do them during a dream out of habit, and when the RC fail you will hopefully become lucid.
The second use of an RC this: Say you are dreaming, and then you think that maybe this is a dream, but you are not sure, then doing an RC can proof to you that it's a dream. This is important because in lucid dreams we do wild and dangerous things, and it's too scary to try something like jumping from a cliff, if you are not absolutely certain thats it's a dream, and RC's can give you this certainty.

Ah, so I guess I need the certainty.

I understood that the RC's let you know that your dreaming, but in waking life I don't do RC's, so for me, it should be obvious to me the moment I try a RC that i'm sleeping lol. Kinda like, I should start turning RC's into a dream sign...because I do them like randomly when i'm asleep, and not in waking life. But that would kindof be silly for me, since normal people do RC's when they already have a dream sign lol.

I <---- out of his mind.

Edit: btw I like your sig
