Most of my lucids have been just sudenly realizing I was dreaming without any strange even setting it off. It's strange. |

for awhile i'v been trying to have a lucid dream, my "first" was when I was around 12 and I stayed up all night and sorta drifted in between sleep and awake. around 6 a.m., but I can't really remember that one, so I have been doing dream recall and all that stuff, I stopped for about 2 weeks, then one night I had a dream I was at school walking up the steps, I stopped and looked around, and said I'm dreaming I don't really know what set it off, it wasn't reality check I just sorta knew. my first thought was to fly, but I thought about it and I didn't feel like flying. so I just ran around and did whatever I felt like. It was pretty cool. now i'v been inspired to start up again and get serious about lucid dreaming. |

i've only had one lucid dream, a long time ago though. i was in sixth grade when i had it (i'm going into 11th now). like you, i just kind of reallized i was dreaming without any reality checks. it just hit me that i was dreaming. in the dream, i was at my school, but it looked a bit different. when i realized that i was dreaming, i looked around and thought "wow, everything looks so real!" and then just started to walk around. and then i thought "can i change my dream a bit?" and the first thing i thought of was a dragon. i tried to make a dragon appear. didn't work. i think, after a few minutes i either woke up or lost lucidity. can't remember. i just found this site though, and so now i'm going to try to have lucid dreams again. |

Carl Sagan quotes:
"Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were. But without it we go nowhere."
"The universe is not required to be in perfect harmony with human ambition."
"It is far better to grasp the universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring."
