      Talking My First LD!!!!

Okay, I just woke up a few minutes ago and I need to tell someone. Both of my parents are extremely skeptical and even asked me, when I told them about what happened last night, "Well, what if you were dreaming you realized you were dreaming?" Needless to say I'm fustrated about that. But onto the dream.

It was the third dream that I can remember that night, but if I had one dream per REM then it was my 5th dream...

I was the helper on the stage at a Mariah Carey concert. After she sang a little bit, a different helper did a little thing where he ran, did a somersault then a flip and landed. That's when the stadium began chanting for Mariah to try, they also took out lighters and started waving them. Mariah then took out a lighter and handed it to me, she told me to go hold downstage (it was very dark in the stadium). So I went there, lit it and Mariah started running at me. She did the somersault, then flipped off stage. All the lights turned on and I ran to her; she tried to move but I quickly picked her up. I noticed the side of her further away from me was lighter. I asked if she was okay and moaned, "No". So I looked at her leg, it was horribly broken and the whole leg was facing to the left, hence the weight. So I carried her to the ambulance and put her on it. Iturned around and saw everyone emptying from the ampitheater like stadium.

That's when I started thinking about how strange it was. None of me being on stage or the cartoony looking broken leg struck me as weird but rather the fact that I was at a Mariah Carey concert. I'm a bit of music snob and I realized it was very unlikely I'd be here. I asked myself, "This is strange, how did I even get to the concert? Did Taylor [my sister] bring me here?" So I tried to think back and couldn't remember what was going on and then I told myself, "This must be a dream!" I did the hold you nose test and took my hand away from my face. Then I did a mental double-take. I tried it again and I could breathe. Then I knew for sure it was a dream and I was lucid! I got extremely excited and it was really amazing! I tried to calm myself down by simply watching the people file out because I remembered a lot of emotion can end an LD. So then I decided if I'm in a LD I will damn-well fly. I ran outside and just took off. But I was still so excited so I wanted to go explore my house. I closed my eyes to try to invision my house.

When I opened my eyes it was dark, then I opened my eyes and I was in my bed. I immediately did the hold-your-nose RC again but I was really awake...

So my LD was cut short because I was so anxious... But I hope I have many, many more. Best thing is this is only my 3-4th week trying so I hope I have some kind of knack forf it. And hopefully my parents will realize how real it is so I can talk to them without sounding crazy

And what if all of the world and the comforts that you knew disappeared? What if the idea of self, the idea of a thought, and all consciousness faded away while your ego died? Would you hold onto life or cease to exist, are you more than your mind and more than your feelings, can you exist without yourself? Do you know your cosmic niche and could you be content when you are gone?

One thing that always awakens me or at least diminishes the clarity of the dream is closing my eyes. Of course everyone is different, but for me, that's the worst thing to do when lucid.
How I discover what my dreams are about

In my last lucid dream I made pink sparks between my palms. I was trying to make a white ball of energy...

Ya, I definitely don't plan to do it again, I was just to excited to think clearly. didn't rub my hands or go down to the ground to "accidently" stumble upon my house. But now that I've had my first LD I hope to be able to try many methods =]

I am able to stay lucid for ages now, i can have long lucid dreams the only thing that seems to awaken me is if i think about any waking up related thought (which happens alot) or my rem period ends which normally results in a fa which i keep forgetting to remind myself about.

By the way welcome to the awesome world of lucid dreaming, if u are really commited to lucid dreaming i'm sure plenty more ld's will follow.
