I was LDing last night, but felt myself start to slip out of the dream. I was going to spin around to keep myself in, but was bolted by a metal bar to a wall at the time, so I woke up. Any suggestions? |

I attempted to spin around because I've read that doing so is effective in keeping you in the dream (or changing locations). |
|
Do you mean to say that the bars suddenly appeared and stopped you? |
|
Are you dreaming?
If you're not "bolted to the wall" in your next lucid, try "grounding" yourself in your dream (i.e., making it as lucid as it can be). |

I was walking along and the lucidity hit me. When I walked into a room while trying to stay calm as to keep from waking up, I looked to the right and noticed that there was a metallic thing protruding from the wall that had a firm grip on my arm. I can't remember which happened first (the bar appearing or my attempt to spin), but one seemed to happen as an effect of the other. |

You could try a false awakening on purpose. You probably will remember doing this and stay lucid. |

That's an interesting idea... I'll tell you if it works. |
