Hi this is my first proper post here. Cool site 8) ! I've been interested in lucid dreaming for a year and have excellent dream recalling abilities. I have had many dreams where I become aware that I'm dreaming but only in the last 5 seconds of the dream before awakening. This was my first proper Lucid Dream, which I was able to control.

I was pilotting a small airplane across the ocean. I accidentally crashed it. I survived and had to swim to land, although there was no land in any direction. I felt very scared and desperate. Then I realised it was a dream!

"This is a dream!", I proclaimed.

I said to myself, "Ok, I can fly if I want to. I will fly to shore." I flew up into the air out of the water and began flying with my arms outstretched. It was amazing. I fell back in and tried again. The second time I had more speed and control.

I remember looking at the sky, which was a beautiful orange/red sunset. It was so vivid and amazing, and I remember saying to myself, "I can't believe my mind created this world!!."

I flew ashore and arrived in an abandoned ruined metropolitan cityscape, with lots of rubble. I did not plan to arrive here, I just did. I decided that I could meet whoever I wanted, as it was my dream. So I asked to meet Neo from the Matrix. (I have to confess now that I'm a Matrix fan). I can't remember how he, and Morpheus, appeared but I was suddenly talking to him inside an old building.

I don't remember the whole conversation with Neo and Morpheus too but I remember saying something like this:

"This must be really weird for you, because you are merely a figment of my imagination."

He didn't respond with anything interesting, I don't think. But the concept of talking to a dream character with the full awareness that the person didn't exist was exhilirating and extremely profound!!!! I will never forget it.

Then all of a sudden the building started shaking, as if it was about to collapse, and I felt that it was my "task" to save Neo from the building. I grabbed him and started to fly out of the ceiling but I couldn't burst out of the ceiling, despite being in the full knowledge that I was dreaming. I got very frustrated, which made it even harder to control, and then I woke up.

Anyway, thats it. There are probably many descriptions on this site but I felt compelled to write this down, just so I didn't go mad! My brother thinks I'm insane now, and I don't blame him. But the experience was totally amazing. Thanks for reading. 8)
