      huge dry spell :(

i posted on here probably months ago with my last ld, my 5th one, and by far the best yet.

but since then i havent had a single lucid dream. a few times i came close, but no cigar.

i'd like to use pot smoking as an excuse, because when i had that ld, i dont believe i was getting high at that point in time. i read somewhere that when going to bed under the influence it can push your rem time back a long way. anyway i stopped smoking a few days ago and am going to try my luck again, but at the same time i havent tried as hard to do reality checks during the day. i just dont find the time ever.

i dont know why im posting, the obvious thing to do is just read up again and try harder. but i dont know. anybody have any suggestions? tips?

Reality checks don't take long. Maybe you could decide on a particular thing to have accompany a RC. For instance, everytime you wash your hands, RC. Or whenever the phone rings, RC. Just an idea if you're having a hard time remembering to do Reality Checks.

yeah one thing i tried doing a while ago, i used paint program to create a black background, with white text saying "are you dreaming?" and i blew that up on to my desktop, and then took a picture of it with my phone and had it on my wallpaper of my phone. that way if i ever got on the computer or got my phone out i could do an RC. the problem is i grew too used to it and never used it. but i will try that
