      1st lucid dream

The first day that i found this site i did alot of reading before bed, so while falling asleep this was the only topid on my mind. This probably made it alot easier to become lucid beacuse i have been trying for about two weeks and havn't had one again. Anway, in the first one i tried drinking alot of water before bed, and i kept telling myself that when i went in the bathroom to do a reality check. So sooner or later i found myself in the bathroom, so i tried turning the lights on and off a few times...they didn't work. I reasoned with myself for a few seconds finally deciding on the fact that i was dreaming, not a power outage and then remembered what i had inteded to do. The dream was not very clear, and since the lights didn't work it was kind of dark, but light enough to see the mirror. I remember telling myself when i was awake that i was going to try to climb through the mirror and come out throuh my friends mirror. So i tried crawling through the mirror but it was solid, not what i exepected and i couldnt' get through. After that i had to go to the bathroom so i endedup just waking up.

I've tried WILD once before, i set my alarm and got up at 4:30. I got up and walked around for a few minutes, then read for another half hour or so. Then i layed down and th rought about what i wanted to dream about, and i could put myself in the dream and imagined what it would be like, then told myself i would remmber i was dreaming. Then i kept my mind awake by thinking of the dream and then if i got drowsy i did a few quick math problems in my head. After a few minutes or so my fingers and legs started to feel tingly and got numb, and i felt warm all over. Then i noticed it felt as if someone was sitting on my chest, and it got really hard to breathe, at first i tried ignoring it because i started to notice my self sliping into a dream. I could smell chicken, it was as if i was smelling it normally and i wanted to eat, so now i could see the chicken in front of me and i took a bite, it tasted just like it did in real life and the smell was great. But the breathing was really getting to me so i ended up having to sit up and breathe. After that i just fell asleep normally and had the dream that i was telling myself to have while trying to WILD. Although i did have the dream i inteded to, i was not lucid for it. And no i actually don't keep a dream journle, i guess i should but im afraid to keep one becuase i live at home and all (by the wayy im only 14 years old) and am afraid of either my parents or my brothers finding it becuase some of these dreams could get in a little bit of trouble...i guess i should start keeping one though, i have great dream recall with out it though. I can remember up to 5 dreams per night, on average 3.

The trick with WILDing is not to lie on your back but on your side or your stomach. I am also 14 but I hide my journal! I have very improved dream recall, I remember at least 1 dream a night. I had a brilliant one last night though non-lucid - I robbed a car showroom! It was brilliant!
