All my lucid dreams start out in my house?

Okay so last night I had my fifth lucid dream... And all of these dreams have had one big similarity - they start out my house, then I go outisde and continue my lucid dream on from there. Usually these dreams are pretty realistic, and two of them are a result from a false awakening. I feel if the dream isn't already somewhat realistic to start out with, it's harder to judge when to do a reality check. Does anybody else have similar experiences?

That happens to me. Almost all my WILDs start out in my bedroom then I usually go outside. It sucks because teleporting to other dream scenes is hard for me for some reason so I'm usually stuck in my neighborhood.

You're not alone - I would say 95 % of my Lucid dreams start that way. When I sleep in a different location I start there also.

Before, all of my lucids started in my house, but then i moved house which i thought would result in my lucids starting there but i would still nearly always start my lucids in my first house. Not long back i moved again and i still keep becoming lucid in my first house which is frustrating because there is nothing to do i that area. Where i live now i want to become lucid in the house because i live by a town where there are lots of opportunities unlike my previous two houses but i can't seem to become lucid anywhere but my first house.

I'm pretty sure it is because i lived there for 14 years and i have lots of memories there so perhaps a part of me can't let go. I loved the house and the street with passion so it all kind of makes sense.

Most of the LDs I had started at my house or somewhere near it and for some reason I always use the window to get out...

Yes. Until recently all my LD's (except one odd-ball) started in exactly the same manner:
      - I realize I am in a dream
      - the dream fades to black
      - I then awake in my bed-room, but still in dream (false awakening) and still lucid
      - I get out of my bed and enjoy LD...

This was regular, that it started to be bit boring.
But all of sudden, last few LD's did not follow this script.

I sometimes dream of my former house, the one where I grow old and I left with my parent 20 years ago. At the beginning it seems real because I dream of real situations but when I realize that it is impossible that I am still in that home I become lucid, I go out and I start to explore the neighbourhood.

All of my WILD's start out in a house which I take to be my own home. All of my Lucid dreams however start off in my old neighborhood or my new neighborhood. Another similarity I noticed is that all of my schools I have attended seem to be combined into one I.E. if I visit a school it is a combination of my Jr. High and Highschools. The boundaries outside of my neighborhood however are completely random which is always nice to explore.

This has been my experience also.

If I sleep in my bed or on the living room couch.. the dream begins where I happen to be lying.

      Out The Window

Yeah, that's funny. For some reason I can never just stroll out the door in an LD. I have to float slowly or levitate out through a narrow window.

Maybe that means that even though I'm lucid there are still limitations and I'm not quite as free and confident as I would be with more practice.
