Thread: My first LD? =o

WARNING! The lucid parts are very cliche. Don't kill me, it was my first one.

Orange = Semi-lucid
Green = Lucid

I haven't recorded a single dream in nearly 20 days, so I have no idea how I did this or if it was a real LD.

I had been asleep for nine hours and I wasn't tired, but I was too lazy to get up. So I thought I would fall asleep one more time and get up after I do. I had a very short and very random dream where I was riding a cartoon rollercoaster with cartoon cows. I woke up a realized that dream was one big dreamsign. I knew that my dream recall by now sucked and I haven't even finished reading the book I got on LDing, but I thought I should atleast try to go back into this one a become lucid. Within seconds I feel back asleep into the same dream and remembered I was dreaming. I began to feel this strange feeling that felt like being stuck with needles over and over again through out my whole body. It became so strong that I thought I was going to wake up at any second. Then this loud noise started that sounded like a hurricane or waves crashing. By now I knew I was losing what little control I had left and everthing became a twisted blur when I remember someone told me recently that looking at your hands helps you keep control. So I did and the feeling became less intense, the sound became quiter, and the dream became clearer. I appeared on a real rollercoaster alone as it sped downhill and disappeared. I began to float so I decided to try flying. I didn't have much control as I flew. It kind of felt like I was falling and changing direction every second. I then realized because I was LDing I could do anything. So I stopped flying and made a certain guy appear infront of me. I walked up to him and said "Hey.". He said "hey" too and smiled. I felt like when I spoke I really did in the real world too. Which made me wonder if I was only half asleep. Just incase if I really did speak. I muttered what I wanted to say next to him and appearently he didn't hear me either and I woke up. Even though it lasted for only a minute and I was only seconds away from lucid sex. It was freakin awesome. I think I'll finish this one sometime...

...but was it a LD or do you think it sounds more like I was half asleep?

I think that was a LD for sure. Huge congratz!

Even the semi-lucid part was pretty lucid. That is waaaaay longer than my first LD so GJ.

If everything looked very real, then you weren't just half-asleep.

Try rubbing your hands together next time it's blurry, that should make it more vivid.

I'll have to try that. I'd be really surprised if I could tonight.
