Well I decided to check in on Dream Views, as I'm decidedly becoming more interested in my dreams again. I found Clairity's guide to WILDing, and decided to give it a shot the night after, as my friend was over.
So last night, I climbed into my bed, with my Beanie covering my eyes so I wouldn't be distracted. I pulled the covers over my head to become more concentrated. Once this happened, I started to do the ABC picture thing she describes. I think I finally got down to Superman (S), when I felt something happening in my legs. I tried to continue thinking of something that began with T, but this feeling in my legs was starting to bother me. It was like a slow tingly feeling. So now I start thinking, ok concentrate. Just concentrate on the purple swirls in your eyes. This feeling slowly travels up my leg all the way up to the ends of my arms and chest. So now I'm sitting there staring at this swirl occurring in my eyes, while I am now completely numb. After about 30 seconds of this, my heart started beating faster and faster and I was starting to become a little scared. I think I must've broken out of the numbness, because I sat up with a bit of a cold sweat. I did a Reality Check by plugging my nose and trying to breathe through, but no dice.
Now the rest of the night, I was continuously waking up in half hour to hour intervals. Every time I would wake up and stare at my clock, the green glow of the clock got lighter, and more vivid. I did about 10 reality checks last night, and I was nowhere close to Lucid.
So now I have a couple questions.
1. How can I sort of become 'immune', so to speak, to getting scared of the SP?
2. When I do reality checks, I am expecting the thing to happen right? e.g., Me plugging my nose and expecting to be able to breathe through it.
Thanks! Probably gonna give it another shot tonight if I feel up to i!
