2 in one night, and im just starting :)

      Hi guys,

Ive been trying to Lucid Dream for a few months now, on and off. I used to keep a dream journal, untill i stopped for a couple of months. Now im getting back into it, because i miss the challenge of the dreamworld. Ive had one or two lucid experiences before, where i would realise i was dreaming but lose control very fast.

The last time this happened i told myself to next time stay calm and practise the control techniques from the site.

Well last night I was dreaming that I needed to get to the shop via a dog sled. This was a bit ridiculous and i realised on my way to find the dogs that i was dreaming. I was in the street where i lived and i just took complete control. It was as if i was genuinely walking up my street. Instead of going crazy and trying all this cool stuff, i decided to just feel it and experience the dreamworld. It was so incredible, everything was so vivid and real. I just took a walk up the road and went back home, met a few dream characters and ran my fingers through the sand and the grass.

I remember reading about a thread on Dreamviews where people were arguing about whether you were really conscious during a lucid dream. Seeing that this was my first experience, that was the first thought that popped into my head. I knew exactly where i was at the time (in my bed) and i knew that i was dreaming.

The second one i had was a few hours later, after i woke up during the night. It was also in my street, and very similar except this time i was hanging out with some friends and trying to convince them i was dreaming. This of course ended the dream quickly.

I just wanted to comment about how you dont have to have extravagant lucid dreams to have fun. Especially your first time. I just enjoyed the scenery and went for a plain old normal walk thinking and looking around, and it was the most awesome experiene ever. I cant wait for more

wooo congrats! I know what u mean u dont have to do a lot to have a great lucid dream. In my first one the fact that I was lucid dreaming got me really excited, and I just wandered around for a bit. Good luck with future lucid dreaming!

Silverwing, I try to impress upon new dreamers especially that just going with the flow and getting used to being lucid will lead them to very satisfying experiences.

Thanks so much for sharing your dreams and may your next lucid come SOONER rather than later!

Thanks for the kind words, Clairity and EmilySian.

I'll be sure to keep everyone updated with more dreams as they happen, whether you want to hear them or not hehe

You are absolutely right about not having to do anything extravagant to have fun. The first time I had a real lucid all I did was talk to these 3 DCs that were near me and that was exciting in and of itself.
If you’re gonna microwave that burrito, I want you to poke holes in the plastic wrapping because they explode. And I'm tired of cleaning up your little burrito doings. You dig me?
