Wink How can Ds be of the mind if...!

I had the weirdest dream last night. The day before I was sort of thinking about if dreams were really of the mind like so many have us believe - but I've always thought of them as a real place...!

I was at my middle school again (I never dream of high school anymore...). It had the same feeling as all these dreams were before of this place. (You know, like your neighbor hood dream place, dream room, etc. all look/feel the same each time...) For some reason I was writing down the blueprints or map of the place (trying to see if it would move?). More of it seemed to be added like an extension of a house, not changed completely like dreams seem to.

I had the feeling in the dream that this was exactly the way it has been everytime I have had this dream before and 'nothing' changed... Upon awakening, I realized I never dreamt this before and it was a 'dream with in a dream' sort of thing -- and maybe it was a dream showing me what dreams really are (not) --- not of the mind...

Maybe the dream world moves, not the 'instability of our mind'. What I mean is: When it moves, maybe it's just a transition, like in a play. Or maybe it's 'extending' or transforming (like a seed to a flower). But I don't believe our dreams exist in our mind. Even though we can control our dreams with our mind/thoughts, maybe we are actually controlling the dream world....

      What do you think...?
"What if I were to tell u that you can take control...of all of this? Look at all these people. Seems as though they're just all chatting away? Nothing to do with u. And yet., maybe they're only here because u wanted them to. U are their god. U can make them obey u or even destroy u."

I have a bunch of thoughts and ideas about this kind of stuff.

I think that our minds aresort of like transmitters between different frequencies of perception. For some reason, our physical world that we are in is the frequency that we tap into most. Dreams would probably second. Or imagination if you count that.

So I get what you're saying.

People on here that are trained LDers can tap into that frequency far better than normal people, and we can control it.

Maybe we can control the physical world also, but we're just so used to being here every day and moving with the flow of humanity that we can't tap into it.

Which brings us to the whole maybe this is all just one big dream.

      The mind is mysterious!

if you have seen the secret then you know that it is not just the dream world that can be controlled.

the world as we see it is exactly that. our senses. if we can convince our senses that something is true then it will be. i have been a natural at flying (in my dreams) all of my life so one day when i was 9 and i was trying to catch up to my parents i jumped forward (how i might in a dream) and flew forward about 10 feet.

so the dream reality is just a piece of the larger reality which is completely under your control

anything that is possible in a dream is also possible in reality. the reason i lucid dream is to expand my creativity and find out how i can edit my waking reality more often then every ten years

Where do you propose the dreams occur, if not in the mind? Are you saying that there is a dream world out there that exists, perhaps as a network of independent energy that can be experienced and controlled?

I had a strange experience the other night in which, at the end of a dream, I realized I was in a neighboorhood that I once dreamed I lived in. Out of curiosity, I went down the street and into the building that I had dreamed about living in. It was exactly the same detail from the original dream.

      Which I found it strange.

What convinces me that dreams are part of the mind, besides the obvious, is the way they start. Ever caught yourself in an illogical, rambling chain of thought as you were drifting off to sleep, or saw weak hypnogogic imagery? These things are clearly mental in origin, or at least don't seem at all otherworldly, but it's easy to see how they could become dreams.

Philosophically speaking, dreams can be considered a real, external world. But, realistically and logically speaking, they must be considered for what they are: creations of the mind. If 1,000 people dreamt about the same scene or location I can guarantee that each will have variations in-congruent with the experiences of others. Therefor, in fact, dreams are purely mental in nature and substance.

Ah, but the same thing happens in reality. There are several sides to any occurrence here, too.

But reality has objective truth, dreams don't.
