      Third Lucid.........

Well I just had my third lucid... another DILD of course. I don't remember how I became lucid, but I knew I was and I kept trying to closely study how things looked so my dream would be more vivid. It didn't seem to work; I couldn't concentrate on anything. I'm starting to think I might not be lucid... maybe I'm dreaming about being lucid. I feel like I'm conscious but I'm still.... dumb like I would be in a normal dream.

So is it actually possible that I'm just dreaming about being lucid because I think about it so much while I'm awake? Or are lucid dreams really that surreal?

You're certainly lucid, just at a low level. I always wake up, questioning "was I actually lucid or did I dream about being lucid?"

But yeah, you were lucid. Your mind is still pretty numb at a low level of lucidity. It's erased from your memory etc.

      Congratulations by the way :]

Joe1324, Lucid dreaming is merely the "awareness" that you are dreaming WHILE you're dreaming.

Did you ever say (or think) to yourself, "I'm dreaming?" and, if so, did you BELIEVE this statement/thought to be true? If so, then you were definately lucid.

Lucidity has nothing to do with "control" (meaning that you can be in a lucid dream.. but still not be able to affect any changes).

Next time, if you're in doubt, do a "reality check". The reality check that has never failed me is the "plug my nose and see if I can breathe" reality check. It never hurts to do your favorite reality check a couple of times or even do two different ones.. just to really convince yourself!

yeah ive had that too. once or twice id be like "hey...am i dreaming?" to somebody...things like that. i ask al ot, but nobody responds. and im just like "hmm." then i kinda think about something else.

or i realize im lucid, but in convincing a girl to take her shirt off, and she keeps saying no, i guess my mind just gives up. as if i have no control

      gotta work on that lol
