Thread: What does a cloud feel like?

I've flown through clouds in LDs and the usually don't feel like very much of anything to me.

There was a lucid task a while back where in a Lucid Dream we were to turn into a giant and suck in a cloud, located HERE if you want to read the results. I think I completed the task later. I remember sitting up in a hollow in the clouds and just relaxing. It was soft and serene.

Exactly like they do in real life, same with taste. Just water vapor, kind of wet, but airy.

Hmm, i think since many people haven't touched a cloud in the sky before, your mind would create a much different feeling than fog itself.

Why? It will just associate the feeling with the next best thing, which is a cloud on the ground (i.e. fog).

I think your mind will create it the way you EXPECT a cloud to feel like... If you think of a cloud being a soft bed of feathers, it probably WILL be like that in your dream.

For me, a cloud will probably be more like thick fog... but I agree with you: if you've watched clouds from above sitting in an air plane, they really look like soft, fluffy cushions!

I really REALLY wish clouds felt like marshmallows. They make me feel all romantic... but sadly they tend to be a bit whispy and nothingy

We had a task last year (if memory serves) that involved growing huge and sucking in a cloud. It didn't taste like anything, but it was refreshing.

I fly through clouds often in my lucids. Other than obscuring my vision, they never seem to have much substance.

Fog is a cloud, that's fly to me, they feel the exact same way.

Thats interesting especially since whenever i am flying, clouds are actually pretty solid when i lay down on them. But if it comes to wanting to fly through them, it takes much more effort to go through them, sort of like trying to swim through water.

Cloud nap? Oh, sounds nice, maybe soon.

Yeah, it's one of the most relaxing thing to do in a dream, especially when the dream is set over the ocean early in the morning, so the sun leaves a delicate sparkle on top of the water.

to me clouds have always been a cool feeling like if you step out into a mist in the morning

Heavy fogs are mearly clouds. That is exactly how a cloud feels. Not hard, eh?

Uh, yeah a number of people have said that Next time I'm flying I'll land on a cloud and lay down, maybe then dive from it into that ocean that cameraman talked about.

The point i was trying to pick at was that your mind most likely wouldn't just make it feel like particles of water that you can pass through. Instead, it should feel like something that you touch more often that has some sort of resemblance of a cloud, like a marshmallow or a feather maybe.
