About Lucid Nightmares, a few problems.

I was dreaming of some made-up scene from the Simpsons about Krusty the Clown. Next thing I know, I'm looking at a big television screen. Then the atmosphere goes all creepy and the dream volume increases. I start hearing a loud buzzing noise and everything starts fading black very slowly. I realize I'm dreaming. I know that I wont be able to control this dream so I try and wake up.

I blink really hard twice, and I didn't wake up. I'm starting to get a bit scared and I get a bit petrified by. I try to summon a little nervous breakdown. I start trying to shake my body all over and get myself excited. Turns out, my sleep paralysis wore out the last three seconds of the dream. I woke up shaking my right leg from left to right.

I woke up and looked at my leg which I was shaking. I was still a bit frightened by the dream. I don't know why, it was probably the sound that scared me.

Anyone know how I can do any of these?:

      • Try not to try and exit the dream when I'm in the dream and aware of it.
      • Chill out and relax my dreams.
      • Get more control over my dreams.
      • Remember dream skills (rubbing hands, reality checking, etc).

Well I think you could have avoided becoming so scared if you would have not convinced yourself that the sound ment fear to you, you could have convinced yourself it was just a bad connection on the tv and that ment nothing, see it really all depends on how you beleive in things, if you beleive danger follows somethign in a dream, it usualy will.

My advise is to not worry at all, your as safe and strong as your beleifs say.

When it comes to nightmares the best (and most difficult) thing to do is to stay calm and not get scared. Took me a long time to learn to do it, but it WORKS.
