I've just started to try LDing, since I joined the site, and I haven't been successful yet.. but I remember from past LDs, I would tell little kids that they were dream characters. They'd just get really shocked |

Quin custodiet custodes ipsos?
Yeah, I've had this. It wasn't from telling them they were dream characters but from merely saying, "I'm dreaming!" (which implies it.) Anyways, this only lasted for like my first couple of LDs. From what I remember the first involved my friend grabbing me by the throat and slamming me against the wall, the second my family said they were going to sacrifice me, and the third involved a dream character asking to come back to the real world as a split personality |

"Dreams are as portals. Flat visions of misty places. But I can write dreams!" - Myst Uru
I remember one lucid dream (maybe my very first...I'm not sure) I had when I was about 18, set when I was about 14, where I tried to explain to my mom's bf that I was really dreaming all this four years in the future. He just kind got surly and contradicted me, which was typical of our real life conversations. |

If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama
