      2nd Dream Guide Experience

I had my first LD in quite a while this morning. It was pretty low-level lucidity--I knew I was dreaming and that changed the character of the dream, but I had no control. The awareness of dreaming was more gradual, too, less of an epiphany.

The setting was a vacation cabin in the woods. I was talking to a DC and she disappeared, so I tried to make her reappear, but no luck. I tried searching the house to make her reappear around a corner, but that didn't work either. As I was searching, our fellow vacationers returned and went out back, and someone yelled that they'd found something. I went out there, and one of us had been transformed into a kind of stone or cement gargoyle half buried as if in a grave. Thinking it might be the DC I was looking for, I tried to will it back to life and it worked, sort of. The figure that rose up was a different DC, a tall, thickset, light-skinned black man who had been quiet on the periphery of most of the woods-vacation dream. He sprung up and came straight over to me, and as we walked back toward the house he said something to me, just one sentence, that put the earlier events in perspective and revealed the true lesson of the dream to me. I understood immediately that this was a DG, tho his appearance was different from my one previous encounter (I've had two non-lucid encounters with entities unlike other DCs, too).

I heard him clearly and made an effort to wake up and write it down, but the result was a fuzzy false awakening followed by an intense sexual dream, and when I woke from that one, the DG's words were burned from my mind.

EDIT: All four encounters with oracular entities involved either dead people or graves

If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama

ARRRRGGGGG! I hate that! Hearing something so meaningful and it's just gone from your memory!

Congratulations anyway on your 2nd dream guide experience!
