WILD when I was CHILD with time distortion

The first WILD i had was before I knew anything about lucid dreaming or any of it. I was listening to a new cd I just got (Ozma) and had a fan blowing on me. I was lying down on my bed, very tired. I listened straight through the cd til it ended...and then my body started feeling very "warm" in a pleasant way. And then the wierdest thing happened. The fan, which was set on high, started slowing down to the point where I could hear each pass of the blades a solid, second apart! This sort of freaked me out and i opened my eyes, and the fan returned to normal. But immediately I closed my eyes, wanting it to happen again. And it did. Slowed down...woosh...woosh...woosh..with each pass of the blades. And then I went into a dream, while concious, but woke up a few minutes later. Anyone else experience that with sound?

Wow... this is a perfect example of your brain speeding up, causing the appearance of outside time slowing down (relativity, sort of): http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5013

I don't know who's heard of Salvia*, but people have claimed to live years of life as a different person, in just the 10 minutes time a slavia trip lasts, and be in the middle of some pointless task, like putting something away on a shelf, and then suddenly snapping back. That's a great example of the flexability of time.

Still curious, has anyone else experienced anything similar to me? Hearing the change in time?

Heard of Salvia, never done it, want to. Similar experience with mushrooms. When I come down, I feel exactly how you describe. It's in the span of a few hours, but same idea!

Haven't experienced that with sound though...Would like to try it
In this crazy world if they don't consider you mad, then you have no confirmation of your own sanity, do you?
Imagine if this crazy world thought you were sane?! Oh my God, worst nightmare!

A common accurance with Salvia is giving up. In a way you have to "learn" the high. It took me 5 times to get it to work, and even after that I'd say it works well 1 in 5 times still. But very intense when it does work and well worth it in my opinion. Though I can probably get more than one lucid dream in every 5 days, so I'll just stick with dreaming.

Hehe, dreaming sounds good. When I learn to meditate properly and all that I'm gonna give up on the mush...It's just kind of a shortcut for me now, but I genuinely don't wanna keep doing it that way...Don't like the fact that I can't come back to my physical body at will. I mean, I can, but in a very limited sense. I can do simple stuff, but my consciousness is still somewhere else, and I don't always like being out of control like that...Do you meditate?

I meditate, but not often enough to call it a big influence in my life. But I certainly have had some incredible experiences meditating. Try breathing in through your nose, out through your mouth, as if you're breathing out of a straw, feel your fingertips and think of a word that means nothing. This is my favorite way to relax, slow my heart rate, and completely empty my thoughts, and worries. You should start to feel an intense tingling in your fingers.
Oh, and Salvia is nothing like mushrooms. In no way, shape, or form. I've done my share of mushrooms, and have since given them up. I even recently gave up cannabis. Once I smoked salvia while on mushrooms. It felt like my body was changing shape in the oddest ways(a common occurence with salvia) only it was more rapid and it changed to the music that was playing. I remember at one point my mouth was 3 feet in front of my face.
The only drug I think I would try again is Salvia. And only because of it's similarity to dreaming. But I'm giving up drugs up for dreaming, which beats any drug on the planet. Hands down!

Thanks for the info, will try the meditation technique

Wow, salvia with mush? Sounds deadly I wouldn't try it!
I haven't quite given up on mush yet though, for some reason I just feel like I've got unfinished business with it....Will give it up eventually though. As for salvia, I'd love to try it some time. Mush seems to be a really intraspective experience for me - not very visual at all, but very thought-provoking. Kinda helps me get in touch with myself... It really does feel like I've gone somewhere else and have come back to my physical body at the end. I do agree though, if I had to make a choice between drugs and dreaming, DREAMING all the way...But there's no way I'll ever really be restricted from drugs, so for now it'll have to be both Just need my natural progression, can't force myself at this point.

Well do what you gotta do. I took so many mushrooms that one day I just realized how far from this planet my mind went. Ive been spending the past few months trying to return to earth. Say hello the mushies for me next time you make your journey. We had some good times...Ahhh... memories...
