      A very short Lucid...

Prior to becoming lucid I was being chased by some people, and finally they told me they would stop chasing me, if I climbed the wall of this apartment building that was in front of me and got them some hamburgers from a barbecue that Blink 182 was having ( dreams are weird eh? )..

Anyways, it took some effort to climb this wall, I was barely clinging to the bricks, and I was scared to fall, the fear of falling and heights was very real in this dream, and than when I got to the ledge to move across to the balcony, I realised..... Wait a minute.... I am dreaming , and I am pretty sure the whole height thing initiated it , cause lately I have been having many dreams of heights. anyways, I get to the balcony, and I am making sure I realise I am dreaming, I tell myself what date it is in the waking world ( January 1st ) and than once I am on the balcony I turn to the people below to say, "This is just a dream, you dont exist" , but they have disapeared,

anyways, I create a bridge from the balcony to walk across, but I can feel my lucid fading very fast, I try to maintain it, but I wake up..

It was a really short lucid only about 5 to 10 seconds, but hey its progress

      Namaste

Congrats on the lucidity. Any progression is good progression.

The Blink 182 BBQ thing made me laugh.
Good to see you got lucid from the heights thing. Hope I realize I'm dreaming next time I'm way the hell up someplace I normally wouldn't be in dream.

Indeed, very large heights in a dream, can be a very scary thing, but once you realise you are lucid, they can be quite an amazing experience

anybody seen the ending of Vanilla Sky? Compare it to that

      Just taking the plunge

      Good dreams

Haha and now that I really think about it, that blink 182 barbecue thing is quite hilarious ( I love my subconcious )

I've never seen Vanilla Sky but have taken the plunge in a few lucid dreams.

My favorite was last year to accomplish a lucid task. I was being chased by some sort of evil creatures through a forest. I came to a cliff's edge and thought that I might be dreaming.

The lucid task was to jump from a cliff and fly so I just went for it. I plummeted, unable to fly, and only got my wings when I swore at myself to fly. I zipped just above the cliche jagged rocks at the bottom of the cliff and soared away from my persuers.

I really hope I clue in I'm dreaming next time I'm inch worming along some narrow ledge on a sheer cliff face.

When a dream is very realistic and you mistake it for reality,
Being on the edge of a cliff, or a very tall building is scary as hell..... omg... all you can do is use every ounce of your energy to hang on for dear life..

But once you clue in to the Lucidity, than yes you can turn the whole scenario around, but even sometimes when you are still lucid or semi-lucid, the dream imagery can be so intense and vivid, that you are still scared to jump..

But yes I also hope I will clue in to my dreams when I am at heights too,

Best of luck with your dreams
