Cool Not sure if this was a lucid dream or not.

I had this dream a while ago. It felt great when I woke up so I had to write it down right away. I had been really focusing on my dreaming and stuff. Dreaming is a very important thing to me. I've always been pretty good at remembering my dreams especially if they were nightmares or just plain memorable. But lately I had really been focused on dream recall. I had written down at least one dream every night for about a week or two. Finally this night somehow while I was dreaming (not sure how) I just came to the realization that this was all a dream. Maybe it was the scenery or the fact that I was all alone and I hate being all alone so this couldn't be real. But somehow I knew I was dreaming and I suddenly started waving my arms in the air and took off flying. Normally I hate heights so this was amazing my first lucid dream was in the air. It was wonderful. I felt like I was as light as a feather. I remember a little girl asked me how I could do that. I told her we were only dreaming so you can do anything you want and she started flying too. It was a great dream while it lasted. I haven't had one since. But that was wonderful.

I was wondering does that sound like a lucid dream to you all?

Also I was wondering has anyone had a shared dream with anyone? Is it possible and if so how do you have one? Can you pick the person or does it just happen by chance? I had a friend who said she had a shared dream with her friend. They both dreampt the same thing and when they woke up they both remembered the dream. Is that possible?

      Sincerely newbie Lisa Marie

If you realized that you were dreaming while in the dream, then it was a lucid dream. It sounds like you had one!

I'm skeptical on shared dreaming. What do you mean, "they both attempted the same thing?"

      Wink Shared dreams.

Yeah she said they each fell asleep together. My friend Alice woke up first and the next day they told each other there dreams and they were very much alike. Alice said that from the moment she woke on her friend even finished the dream and even dreamed Alice waking up before her. It was really weird. They were kind of weirded out too. They had the same dream.

Ah, yeah I've had that sort of experience too. I'm still trying to figure out if it's mere coincidence or something more. This is definitely not an easy topic!
