      SP Experience

I was trying SP before sleep last night just out of interest. I managed to get into SP and I think I was really close to an LD even before sleep. After feeling very numb, I managed to get to blacking my eyes out then I shut them. Not long after, while my eyes were closed I could start to see my room very vaguely forming. I then heard the bed covers move in the other room. I got to this point twice and heard the covers move exactly at the point each time. Co-incidence or would I have likely then saw old hag or something?

Who the heck is telling you to expect to see the old hag? That's a complete myth.

And I don't understand...you had your eyes open while attempting to enter SP? Why? Your eyes should be closed. And what do you mean "blacking my eyes out" I don't know what you're talking about.

And you heard bed covers move in the other room. Um...you mean you heard someone shifting around in the other room or you think this was a hypnogogic hallucination?

taking a wild stab in the dark but I think he tailored DreamBoat's method of blackout to his liking. Second the old hag is not a myth... Yes sometimes its rare and yet in other cases its not. Im confused aboult the sheets too

No, I was trying to do some messed up way of getting lucid. Like a mix between of the thread in Attaining Lucidity where you focus on something and then take the focus off the object then your eyes go black. And tricking your body to fall asleep.

Yeah while typing this I saw your reply lonestarx, your right thats what I was trying to do. I was getting to the point of numbness with my eyes open then Dream Boats method.

Then I just pussied out when I think the covers shifting were hypnogogic hallucinations because it happened each time when a dream scene was almost forming.

The old hag isn't a myth!? So there's a real batty old lady in your room waiting for you to go to sleep so that she can sit on your chest? Are you serious? Old hag is just what people use to describe something they don't understand...it's called sleep paralysis. And yes you may hallucinate an old hag if that's what you are expecting to see when you enter hypnogogia. But it's still a load of bullocks.
