Thread: Tiny society

The place I visited last night was interesting, the intelligent species were like little crustacians their eyes were not on stalks though and they had more of a human look to them. Their front legs had tiny pincers, that were extremely dexterous and strong. They were a very peacefull people they welcomed me, even though I was so different.

I tried a reality check, I dont wear a watch nor is there any writing in this place, so I gave a hop into the air, but nothing... it felt normal. The only reason I figured It was a dream was due to the incredibly odd nature of the people I had found.

The other thing was.. Imagine being the size of a softball but managing to harnes animals like horses, They lived in a forest near the sea and even though they were tiny they had accomished GINOrMOUS feats of mechanical nature. I was shrunken down to their size though. Their society was at a pre industrial revolution stage, hell with horses, they didnt need an industrial revolution, they had all the power they needed. No electricity no need. An incredible people. I watched and listend to them for a long time.

Oo remembered something

The Elders of the community were allowed to cultivate a growth of lichen all around their face, it was like a little beard! They were really good people, I wouldent mind visiting them again, I was able to relax and enjoy myself.

Esentially, we solved the missing neutrino problem in our current colar model and it told the human race that the sun would explode in 500 years. The human race sent as many people and frozen embyo's in ships searching for hospitable planets.
One of them they landed on had a race of crustacians that was just beginning to form a civilization.
Nice book! Mike Oldfield also released an album in the books honor, also very good.
