Just had a brilliant idea!(i think)

What if In one of your LD you told a certain DC too always come to you when your dreaming. Would your subconsience take this in and actually make this person keep coming to you in your dreams. I thought it would be a helpful dream sign.
Eg, Nose plug RC *become lucid*
"Hey Tim can you please always come to me in my dreams, just a slight favor".
"Ok man, see you next dream". Or something to that effect
This way seeing him should always trigger lucidity
Just wondering if this would actually work. Any experts here willing to share some knowledge?

Same here. This idea came to me when I was reading the "naming your subconscious" guide. Unfortunately i've been having a dry spell for a few weeks so I haven't had a chance to try this out at all

So has anyone attempted anything like this?

I tried that on my second LD, it never worked, I never pushed it.

Wow that is a clever idea. But I think if the person starts getting in your dreams more and your used to them; wouldn't your mind just ignore it after awhile?

True. But It should buy me enough time to think of a new idea, besides by the time that happens i would probably have had a month worth of LD's.
Thats if it works in the first place...

You could try telling a DC to tell you to RC everytime you're in a dream... that might work.

I've tried this a few times. Once, I've even formed a pact with a King who alluded to helping me gain lucidity. Since then, I've had a single dream character ask me if I lucid dream (which made me lucid). Before then, I've had dream characters help me regain lucidity, and save me when dream powers fail.

If you trust yourself, it will work.

Wouldn't it be really annoying to have the same person show up all the time? Because DCs often dictate what you do in that dream.

Like, say your dream sign character was your grandmother.. if your plan worked, forget acting out any sexual fantasies in your dreams ever again!

Or the reverse, if you made your dream sign character to be the object of those fantasies, you'd probably never get to do anything else

You have a point there. DC seem to be very commanding in my dreams and more powerful than myself. Thats why I am learning to ehh...get rid of my DC(kill) but i haven't had much succces with that. But as long as you pick a friendly DC to keep showing up it shouldn't be too much of a pain.
