Thread: stretchable fingers

Well the dream where I started becoming conscious was in a small house on church grounds in my hometown in K.P. NY. I was talking with members of my family and a collegue from work whose dad was there. He had a particularly strange device like a small laptop that was connected to a cellphone – he was typing instant text message conversations with people.

I later left the house and headed for the church as I entered the church through the side – I noticed that the walls were strange and that the church wasn’t actually built with these hallways in the side of the main hall. I don’t particularly go to church at all – so I guess this is a dreamsign for me. At this point I felt it was a dream. So I repeated to myself “this is a dream – I am dreaming”. I considered doing spinning, or meditation energy exercises at this point to increase my lucidity, or event to use as a springboard into an OBE. But instead, I continued up the stairs into the main church area.

Strangely enough the main church area was lacking pews and was just a great empty area with a few folding chairs scattered about with people sitting in them. I approached 2 females sitting opposite one another and I said “this is a dream – I am dreaming” They just seemed to smile- amused with me and the situation. So I sat down next to them and said “watch this.” I mentally extended my fingers like “Mr fantastic” from the fantasic four. They stretched about 3-4 ft to the floor. The two women were amazed by this and seemed very encouraging. At this point, I felt I might have trouble getting them back to shape. As soon as I thought this I began having trouble willing my index finger to return to normal. As I was struggling with this, I woke up.

As a post analysis, I’ve been finding that doing meditation prior to going to sleep has increased my lucidity in my last dream cycle.
This dream area also reminded me of a scene from waking life in which the main character is talking with people in a small church.
