(Yes, I called myself Youssie.)

2/16/08: Spaced Out Sleeping (DILD)

In the middle of the road, my dad and brother Scotty are standing while my mom uses a jackhammer next to them. I turn left and notice the space shuttle with its cargo bay doors open. In it, the newest module for the International Space Station. Turning to face them I call out for their attention, but they don't notice. Looking up to face the sky directly ahead, there are two crescent moons, their tips touching.

For whatever reason I turn away. This is when things get weird.

Looking back, two moons have become two planets. I look at that and think "That's not possible!"

Testing reality, I try to whistle. It was quite a surprise when, alas, no sound.

Turning to face my family they are gone! Instead of houses behind them, a large building occupies that area. At this point, I'm thinking "What the hell is going on? I must be dreaming!"

That's when the dream fades. Now I am looking at the insides of my eyelids, with two small cirlcles that may as well been pupils. From there, things get a little racy, but it ends with me... as a lady in leather listening to XM 48 for "clients".

Three days later...

2/19/08: Crashing With Brittany (DILD)

In my school. I've been playing "Burnout 3" too much, because I pretend to be a car crashing into people. I skip everyone in the crowd except my friend Brittany, who receives a hit to the left side. She's hurt, I can tell by her limp. And she is wearing baggy sweatpants.

I start following her as she walks away to apologize, but she doesn't seem interested in acknowledging me. Before climbing the three steps leading outside I say to myself, "I'm dreaming." I remember a former Task of the Month and forget about apologizing.

I walk to the closest person to me and ask, "What's my name?" The reply: "Jerome". (That is nowhere near my real name! And I don't know anyone named Jerome, and I've never been called that!)

Then I ask, "What time is it?" The response: "Around 3:40" (AM, obviously.)

The dream fades and I spin in order to bring the dream back. At first it feels like my whole body is moving, though eventually it reduces to just a mental movement. I attempt whistling... and succeed. At the time it perplexed me, but I must have been too awake to be sleeping.


This is my fourth dream in thirteen days! It seems like it happens most often when I go for dream recall and attempt, but usually fail a moment before falling asleep, a WILD or MILD. Now I just need to work on control.
