      Return to Lucidity

It has been months since my last high clarity LD, so I'm quite happy and ecstatic and felt like announcing it, since my on-site DJ is still in a state of chaos.

      "Whiskey"

Forty minutes after I had awakened from my sleep, I managed to fall asleep again and quickly found myself in a brightly-lit morning in some suburbs. There was a woman with me also, standing just beside me. She had blonde, chin-length hair, I think she had green eyes. We walk through the suburbs, she appear quite cheery, but so am I. We reached a fence into someones estate, we climbed over it. We walked past his shed and his car on the left, which was a red and rusty old sixties Volvo; the car had new black leather seats though. My clarity was high, I could see and feel every texture in great detail, such as the wooden red shed with white borders. I have no idea what she and I was doing here, but I felt at ease and didn't really care that much. We explored the garden for awhile before we returned to his car.

We stood by the car, thinking about what to do when she suddenly called out: "Whiskey, whiskey for sale!". I felt alarmed at first and thought "We don't have any whiskey...", but I noticed a flask of whiskey on the hood of his car, which I quickly grabbed. A forty-year-old man had come out of his house and was now standing infront of me. I asked him "Want some whiskey?" and held out the bottle to him, he responded "Yeah, okay", and handed us some money. He magically whipped out a whiskey glass out of his coat and put it down on the roof of his car. He grabbed the flask of whiskey and poured it into the glass... but I noticed that the whiskey looked very much like syrup, the same viscosity. He didn't seem to notice, he took a swig, leavin the glass empty. "Blech! That tasted strange", "It did?" I responded. I took out another whiskey glass from my coat, which I had no idea I even had, I poured up the whiskey... the viscosity had decreased now, due to unknown means, but still looking a little syrupy. I took a sip... "Hmm... you are right; it does taste a little strange", I said to the man. I can't really describe the taste, it wasn't bad... it was just odd, it certainly doesn't taste like whiskey(probably because I've never had whiskey). I raised my glass to him and stated "Well, I have to be going now, but I'll be back in... one minute"(which was a lie). I walked away, leaving my friend and the man behind.

I walked behind the shed, I think I took something from a metal barrel by the shed, I'm straining to remember, but I just can't recall what it was. I followed the hedge on my left, which soon turned into a fence. I jumped over it and infront of me was the back wall of a rather large school. I walked along it, with the wall on my left. Then I noticed a man... far in the distance, glaring at me. He was wearing a navy-blue suit, with black short hair. He was far enough away that he was just a speck in my sight, but I he had no friendly intentions, I knew that. There was mystery to him. He now started walking towards me rather fast. I felt threatened, but I had just reached the end of the wall and I quickly ran around the corner into the school yard, I looked back towards him... he was gaining on me, despite just walking towards me. I was in the middle of the school yard when it came to me... I had just gone to sleep, there is no way this is happening, this is a dream. I took one last gander at him just before I leapt high into the air. I stopped my ascend a few hundred meters up and looked around me... the clarity ws astounding, I could see everything below me, I could see houses several kilometers away in great detail, I could see the whole of these suburbs. I decided to just fly for a while, I was going to fly straight ahead, but instead I ascended very quickly. I almost reached space before I stopped and was beginning to suffer vertigo. I managed to descend and then tried again, unsuccesfully. I tried superman-style, but I flew backwards instead, I tried neo-style and I was going up and down and sideways, but not forward. I closed my eyes and awoke to my bed.
Even though lucidity was short, it is still a step in the right direction and boosted my motivation considerably. My return to Dreamviews might have something to do with my recent increase in recall also. Now, back to cleaning up my DJ. Cheers.

Congrats Even brief lucidity is something to celebrate, I've found, because it means you're on the right path. Hope you have another one soon.

Warlock, I want to congratulate you as well because, as pixiedust said, any lucid dream (no matter how short) is something to celebrate!

      May you have MANY more!
