      Night Sky Lucid

I woke to a FA in my bedroom, and immediately recognized that I was still dreaming. As soon as I realized it, I felt myself waking up for real. My bedroom began fading to black, with everything turning to shadows and silhouettes. I struggled to hang onto the dream. The walls of my bedroom melted away into blackness, and my bed beneath me began to disappear. I watched as my bedroom disappeared around me, and transformed into a beautiful black night sky lit by millions of stars. It was like the kind of sky you see when you are far from the lights of civilization, only much clearer. It was as if I could see forever, into layers upon layers of stars. It was not a void. I could feel the ground beneath me, and could see the silhouettes of mountains on a distant horizon line. I was sitting on a high ridge, looking across to the opposite side of a dark valley.

After a moment just staring at how beautiful everything looked, I realized I needed to move if I wanted to hold onto the dream. My peripheral vision felt limited, but I could barely make out the shadowy forms of a person on one side of me, and a seated chimpanzee on the other side. I was still halfway aware of my body lying in bed, so I reached out to shake the hand of the person next to me. I introduced myself, "Hi, its nice to meet you, whats your story?" My voice sounded strange. My voice was loud and more powerful than normal, but I could hear a faint echo, like a mumbling coming from my real body (my girlfriend later told me that I was talking in my sleep).

As soon as I spoke, the darkness disappeared. A room snapped sharply into being around me. I saw that the person shaking my hand was a well dressed man, and the chimpanzee next to me was now an older woman who looked like an aging supermodel. The room was very small and Gothic looking. Old wood furniture was crammed into the space and lit with several small candles. I stayed in the dream for several more minutes, conversing at length with the two people about the nature of free will, and what the future will hold.

I hope none of their predictions come true.

They were telling me that my children will destroy the world. Some sort of Antichrist scenario with a demon invasion. I've met with these two creeps before on several occasions. It was a similar end of the world scenario.

      Basically, this:
      http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...&postcount=133

I was arguing that I had no plans to have children. They were explaining to me that, in my heart, I wanted children. Because of this, I could not escape it. Big debate about whether you control your own destiny consciously, or whether your subconscious aka the universe controls it. Pretty convincing argument considering the source.

Apparently I have huge issues about becoming a father. Can't wait to deal with those

Wow. Robot_Butler, you had me so swept away with the beauty of your visual description.. and then you mentioned the chimpanzee!

      LOL!!

Don't worry about the predictions.. it simply sounds like your own subconscious fear about having children.

I just now saw this. What an incredible dream. The lucid sky part sounds amazing. Your description of it makes me want to be there.

And that was interesting about the man and the chimp, and how you had that really indepth conversation.

Holy crap. OP would make a great creepypasta. Bricks, etc...
In dreams of unspeakable joy—of restored friendships; of revived embraces; of love which said it had never died; of faces that had vanished long ago, yet said with smiling lips that they knew nothing of the grave; of pardons implored, and granted with such bursting floods of love, that I was almost glad I had sinned—thus I passed through this wondrous twilight. —George MacDonald

Yeah, the chimp seemed so natural at the time. Here I was, sitting on a mountain top with a chimp just coolin out next to me. I was just at the zoo, and I love how the chimps and gorillas just kick back and recline. They seem so relaxed.

Lately I've been having a ton of dreams where the night sky or stars are involved. I love how your vision gets so sharp, you can just see forever. I remember being out in the middle of Joshua Tree with my Dad and his telescope when I was 6. When you look up into that clear sky, you realize how limited your vision is. Just can't see far enough to take it all in.

I just had this dream which took place at a secluded beach house at night.

Again, that sky looked so hyper real.

Especially since I'm terrified of clowns. Which is weird because I used to work as a clown. Juggling and balloon animals and kids parties.

I have had terrible dreams about my own children. I must be totally terrified of being a father. I love kids. I used to teach an after school art program for kids, I used to do kids birthday parties, I have a 6 year old brother who is my best friend. I think the problem is, I'm horrified by pregnancy. I think its the grossest thing in the world. The idea of spawning some parasitic entity that grows inside you. Can't we just lay eggs like civilized creatures?
