      Through the mirror...

Finally, I found the perfect way to change my location. Yesterday I was able to become lucid through the WBTB method combined with my awareness technique. I appeared in my bed and quickly got up and went against the wall. It was a bit dark(which is happening way to often and it pisses me off). I went tried to summon a sword(just cause I never can). I failed evenwhen I tried to pretend I had one on my back. I was holding nothing but air, no matter how hard I tried.

Anyway, I decided to spin myself out of my house but for some reason only teleported myself from my room to the living room. It was then I decided to go through the mirror. I started to penetrate the mirror. It didn't feel half as intense as in my first WILD(so intense it woke me up). I went completely through and found myself in a completely white room, very bright, kind of like if I was nowhere.

I thought to myself "This is a contruct" (like in the matrix). Then I suddenly noticed a door to a normal room and realized it wasn't a contruct. That is when it all faded. I was able to get back into the dream world(still lucid), but for some reason I can't completely recall it. I remember having some sort of false awakening. It is really not very clear.

Anyway, the good thing of this dream is that I learned the way in which I could transport myself to a different location, for spinning never seemed to work that well for me. Comments?

I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up

Congrats on finding something that works! Patience and trial and error eventually pay off.
Usually a door works for me. Spinning can disorient me, and things go black.
Last night I had an LD and I stuck my hand into a mirror, then pulled it out. It was a very interesting sensation, not unpleasant at all. Next time I see a mirror, I'll see if I can pass through it into another location like you did.

Yeah, its really not unpleasant at all. Of course what I felt may or may not be what you felt for I don't think it is some sort of universal feeling. Unless we are all connected through the astral plane and all...

But yeah, its kind of a weird tingly feeling on my side. When I did this on my first WILD it felt the same but 10 times as intense.

Its funny how there are many options to do everything pertaining to LDing. There are several methods to induce it, to maintain lucidity, to change scenario, no appear objects, etc. All one has to do is find which one is the one that fits him best.

I have been working on discovering what fits me best in my last few LD, for once I know that it is great knowledge to have for future LD's.

I know that I best induce a lucid dream through a variation of the WBTB technique, combined with WILD, or a sort of awareness gaining technique.

I learned that I best maintain the dream by rubbing my hands, followed closely by grabbing on to something from the dream world.

All one had to do is experiment and finally all this will come in handy one day, and you can make the best of your future LD's...

Every time I've been through a mirror so far I've ended up either into blackness (like I mention below) (and then waking up because spinning failed to do anything) or waking up.

Once I went through a wall to fly out of the house - that worked.
Recently I went through a wall and ended up into a 'nothing' area (not really nothing . it had lots of pixels of light.) and woke up.

      The Construct

Thank you so much... I have been to this construct place... and it is not just in the dream realm! In this place one can actually create and manifest into reality. This experience for me was not in a dream, but I arrived at the place of light from the paradox contained in the never-ending story.

I have passed through a mirror once. Unlike your experience it was NOT an easy task. The mirror I passed through was a closed mirror - it seems you were in luck that you found a mirror that directly entered the construct.

My friend told me he once took a deep breath in his dream and went to such a place of white light. At that point he knew he was not ready to stay there and drew his consciousness back into his etheral body.

For me, I had to intensely will myself through the mirror. I pushed and pushed and pushed, and eventually light came into resolution in the form of a road. My friends pulled me from the vague road that I was too weak to travel because of the intense challenge of will to be able to see in such a fashion. In my case I dug a path to a new place of construct; a new road. My own private world, is my feeling of it. One where later, I will plant seeds and move with my tribe.

This sight IS sixth dimensional sight, like seeing through a cat's eyes.

With an open mirror the light highway inside is a path that most often links it to another mirror in another world or place, like Stargate or Sliders. You happened upon one that took you beyond the dream realm to the construct realm as you described, which IS outside of time! This is the place where dreams, stories, lives, and realities are written.

This place is the source and is filled with LOVE LIGHT. Light On Virtually Everything - Love Is G-d's Highest Truth. (Thanks you ** who wants to remain anonymous)

You are the first person I have encountered with this same experience AND you have provided verification that I hoped to find.

      Peace,
      Brother Brian Love

What do you mean that you achieved this not in a dream? How did you get there, through some sort of meditation or astral proyection?

You also said that your friends were there with you, which I thought was pretty interesting too, as I wonder how all this was possbile.

You present some very interesting topics and talk about elevated states that I hope that one day I could learn to achieve. Can you elaborate a bit more about the whole concept?

To the guy who started this whole topic

Actually I really was talking of two experiences... One through a closed mirror where I arrived at a light road which was a new place of construct. I moved through a mirror by shear will, digging a way to my own new construct realm. This was a dream.

      >> What do you mean that you achieved this not in a dream? How did you get there, through some sort of meditation or astral proyection?

I read the book "The Never Ending Story", I think around the age of 15. This book introduces the notion of paradox when the main character climbs a ladder (that warns him not to continue) and meets the entity that is writing the story. IE. The main character watches as the his story is written. This can actually be understood as a paradox related to a positive-feedback loop.
This was the first time that I ever remember being introduced to these concepts. Now, with positive-feedback, a build-up is involved then something happens, like wrapping a powered wire. With true Paradox a 'stable' universe will collapse until the contradiction is resolve. The conception of such an idea pulled me from my waking reality and brought me to the place of white light, that you have coined the construct realm. I'm not quite prepared to go much further at this time. This stuff is highly involved in my work (and webpage) and the timing is not quite right. I will say though, that I was not fully comfortable with this place, all though it is a composite of pure Love Light. In this place I set up something and decided that I would not remember until it was set in motion. One thing was that I would vow to never read "The Never Ending Story" again (that seems odd... LOL). However, I would eventually chose to read it once more, and I would buy a Hard Back copy. This occured about 8 years later, and my memory of this place came back. I did set something else in motion - being very clever, I wanted something undeniable - and I got overlapping the time of buying the hard back copy.
      - I guess I would categorize it as a meditation. Temporary Disbelief or something... but naming things never covers that whole and is a bit futile.

      >> You also said that your friends were there with you, which I thought was pretty interesting too, as I wonder how all this was possbile.

This goes back to the dream. When I pushed my way through the closed mirror and this road came into form, my friends came through the mirror I had opened and guided me back to the gothic night club in the dream where the entrance mirror was located. I was very weak from the intense will needed to get through the mirror. I would not consider these two places as the same, the place in the dream was more a personal construct, while the place of pure light from the book would be the universal.

      >> You present some very interesting topics and talk about elevated states that I hope that one day I could learn to achieve. Can you elaborate a bit more about the whole concept?[/quote]

Walk slow, flow. Check out my webpage once it's up. I have been doing alot of writing for it. I have written about 30 pages so far, this is a good start.

I am leaving on a road trip tomorrow (Wed) at 6:00pm.
If you send an email with your phone number or AIM me before then I'd be more than happy to give you a call.

Unfortunately, niether is an option, as I don't have AIM at work and I live outside the US...

Don't worry, I believe I can wait until your site is up, or we can later chat in this thread or through PMs

Thanks for the info, that paradox stuff sounds intriguing...

Actually, paradox has been a plague for me from the time I was 16 for about 10 years. It's kinda hard to cope with. The solution to paradox, that I now understand, is to step/think outside the box. If the sides both exist simultaneously as True and False. Then make the two one. This doesn't make sense, but in practical situations it is feasible. It seems to be a paradox when one is caught up in the middle of it, but once one steps outside the problem, things become clear.

Oh well on the US thing...

      native american mirror technique

      Hi all,

Finally decided to post (and may confuse some of you as my partner has generously let me use his old avatar, having moved on to a new one!!).

I've found some references to mirrors but haven't yet found any about a native american technique I learned years ago whereby you find a reflective surface, see your reflection in it then your reflection goes off into the 5th dimension (ie through the mirror) where your dream body can find dream teachers.

I use this pretty much everytime I get lucid, though tend to fly or throw myself through the mirror to get the effect. It always causes a change of scene and I often get a strong physical sensation of the glass deforming about my face (sometimes seeing the atoms as dots of swirling, dancing light...blame my physics background...) and momentary fear that I can't breathe. Then there is a moment of dark grey or brown darkness, then I appear in a different place. Sometimes I choose the destination, sometimes I go with the flow. Once in a moment of rashness I asked to be taken to my worst fear. Think my subconscious decided I wasn't quite ready for that one as I emerged in a smokey 'hells angels' canteen!!

I have had long conversations with animals and humans the other side of the mirror. Sometimes getting sound and profound advice, sometimes gobbledygook (was once told by a serious looking cat to act 'like the dog in the heineken ad'). The feel and intensity of the dream ALWAYS changes for me on going through and seems to produce higher level awareness? Also in these dreams colours are brighter/more intense and I have strong physical awareness...tasting salt water, feeling the sharpness of rocks. Also often have false awakenings with these.

Sometimes I see my eyes change colour or my aura before going through and I find the same happens going through windows, car wing mirrors and once tried a lake (to end up dripping wet in shallow muddy water the 1st time ).
Sometimes I bounce back off the mirror but usually get through easily.

If anyone else uses this method please let me know. I'm trying to track down the original reference (which included a protection prayer, charging water with 3 rose quartz pebbles and making a dream antenna).
      Happy dreaming!

I have passed from one dream realm to another by flying straight up in one scene and ended up coming up through the ground into another scene. I have seperated the dream fabric by drawing a vertical line of green light and then pulling it apart, creating a tear. However, when I stepped through I found only dark nothingness. I have experiened the realm of light during an obe when I sped up my vibrational fequency, but never duing LDs.

I like the idea of unzipping the dream fabric Aneas, will have to try that one.
I find mirrors usually not too scarey (when asleep that is 8 ) though the brief pause before I work out where I've ended up can be unnerving.

I've only tried spinning to change scene once and found myself floating in what seemed to be deep space, empty other than thousands of small golden bubbles. I had a strong sense I was being shown something of the nature of the universe which was exciting but I became afraid that this was all there was. Beauty, but no warmth or connection. As I had that thought the bubbles started to unwrap revealing patches of stunning autumn leaves (like bits of bluescreen unwrapping from crumpled paper) and an amazing vibrant paradise scene developed. Wandering about the new and evolving landscape anything I thought would be a nice addition instantly appeared, such as dolphins! It seemed to be a mini lesson in how our thoughs create our reality...only maybe at a seemingly faster rate in dreamstate.

Now I will be torn between finding a mirror, spinning OR drawing a line next time lucid (which I haven't been since finding this site....anyone found some misplaced lucidity? )...

That does sound cool. Reminds me of that book I read a long time ago, the Golden Compass series.

I must have missed this topic. I use the mirror a lot too in my LDs, sometimes I just use a wall. In both cases I walk through and end up where I want to be. Or if I'm not thinking, a random place.

Walking through mirrors is a weird feeling though I have to agree. Kinda tingly and cool.
