So... I heard of the WBTB technique for LDing. Many people say it is their favorite technique and have had 50-100% success rate.

I went to bed around midnight, woke up at 5 AM, came here. Read up on other people's lucid dreams. I went out into my living room and looked out the large glass windows. It was getting light outside. I performed a few reality checks while sitting on the chair next to the window with my eyes closed thinking "I will have a lucid dream when I go back to sleep." Time came to go back to sleep. It was pretty light out. It was hard to concentrate so early in the morning. I drifted in and out, with some non-lucid dreams. Woke back up around 6:30, determined to have a LD. Concentrate, Nick. (Yes... that's my name. Big woop.) Finally... it pays off.

The dream starts in a Wal-Mart type place. I run outside and realize I am dreaming. I jump into the air and go about 15 feet in the air. I notice many fast food places on the road. The one that stood out was Sonic. It stood out because I don't have any Sonic restuarants anywhere near me. (I love Sonic. I had it when I went to North Carolina.) I could read the sign very well. I thought that was wierd because usually I can't read anything in my dreams. The clarity was spectacular. Looked like real-life. I kept rising up into the air. I couldn't stop it. When I had gotten so high up to the point that it was scary, I woke up.

I was dissappointed that my LD was about seeing fast food joints. I remembered false awakenings. Could this be one? I tried to levitate off my bed. It worked! I was still dreaming. I slammed open the bedroom door, not caring if I woke anyone up because it was a dream. I flew down the hallway to the front door. I decided to float through the door to the outside. As I ran to the door, I had a second thought about it. If it wasn't a dream, that could really hurt. Too late. I was already half in and out now. but my waist got stuck. So I focused and finally I was outside. This part is pretty wierd. I go down to the driveway and notice a bunch of trucks in the garage and more pulling into the driveway. Maybe they were robbing my house? I remember that it is only a dream and try to fly away after yelling some random expletives to the robbers. Can't... get... high enough. I land back on the road and start running as another truck tries to ram into me. I think by now it is a normal dream... and a dream that is over.

I think that maybe this was caused by my paranoia. I don't like having this happen in my LDs. Is there any way to stop things like this from happening?

Edit: For some reason, I woke up with a wicked headache. I NEVER get headaches in the morning.
