      having troubles stableising lucidity

hello my name is cameron, i am 15 and i am having some troubles.
Well to start off my first lucid dream was when i was five but i didnt know it was a lucid dream. but latley since i have been practising lucid dreaming i have been having trouble. i wil give you an excample.
a couple of nights ago i had a lucid dream. i was outside castle towers (a shopping mall for all those of you in sydney) and i was being chased. it was dark green (almost like the matrix) and i was wearing tight leather cloths (like in the matrix). i was bing chased by the school bully. i then became lucid (the whole reality cheack) and turned to face my fear. i did kung foo and then lost lucidity. this happens to me alot, i cannot stay lucid for long.
      please help me?
Think of lucidity as the matrix. It is not real, once you beleive it is not real you can bend it to your will. Explore your mind.

      Welcome to dreamviews Cameron!

By losing lucidity, do you mean that you are waking up, or are you falling back into the dream?

If you are waking up, perhaps it is because you are getting too excited in your LD. To fix this, try to stay as calm as you possibly can. You can also try spinning, this usually stabalizes the dream. With your eyes open, spread out your arms and spin like a wheel. It is not enough to just image that you are spinning, you must do it and do it with your eyes open.

Now, if you are losing lucidity, it might be because you are too tired. I've noticed that a lot. It kind of feels like you are sleepy or tired in your lucid dream. If this is what you are experiencing, try to get to bed a little earlier or introduce more physical activity into your day.
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

I'd say that if you're losing lucidity and going back to a normal dream, you could try stopping all action in the dream by yelling "STOP!" and having everything freeze but yourself. Then just stay calm and keep a grip on your consciousness; rub your hands together; rub your hands on something rough; there are other techniques that ppl have mentioned.

If you're waking up, I agree w/ Seeker.

I did that last night actually..I JUST found the forums yesterday...(likeI said i mypost) And something very strange happened..I was laying in bed getting ready to go to sleep..And I kept repeating to myself "I AM going to have a dream and I AM going to remember it" And I was sitting there for a good 10 minutes repeating that...When out of the blue I felt like I was falling and than FLASH I saw a bunch on colors and (for those of you who have seen the movie "predator" it was like it switching vision modes and hearing humans talk..I than heard myself say "Is this real?" And I saw the dream..But not too long after that (mabey 5 minutes in) I fell back to the dream (mabey because I didnt CARE if it was real or not,it was just TOO fun ) All I know is that even if your having a great time, calm down and keep telling your self you ARE in a dream and it is YOURS to control
