I'm a bit different... I get a very dizzy feeling, as if I'm suddenly shifting angles like this: \ | / | \. Sometimes I feel like I fall a bit, but I've yet to have a successful LD after that. |

Ive been wondering this, because i get a very particular sensation when i do. I feel this kind of weird feeling in the back of my head/neck and then I know I'm about to WILD and transition to lucidity. I then know i can lean back in my bed and let my (i dont really know how to describe this) body/consciousness fall through the pillow and backwards below my bed. I tend to feel like I fall through the bed, and sometimes i end up looking up at my sleeping body, its like im sinking into an extremely soft material and just keep going, then i enter a lucid dream. I'm asking whether anyone else experiences this, because it's all together very pleasant if a bit wierd, and I first experienced it without knowing what was really happening and then two years and a number of these dreams later i found this forum. |

12 LDs ('08): [WILD: 4 (4/22) (5/2, 4) (6/1)] [DILD: 6 (3/19) (4/29, 30) (5/7, 19, 28)] [DEILD: 1 (4/19)] [VILD: 1 (4/27)]
the feeling for me changes every time. my first one i felt a freefall sensation that lasted like 15 seconds. i have felt mild little tingly vibrations. i have felt vibrations that are like being shocked with a defibrilator. (you know in movies where their bodies jerk upward? i felt like my chest wanted to pull up and away but i was stuck.) but whenever i get HI into a LD, i never feel anything. |

Forget it! Nobody is going to get him! Long gone. DEVIN HESTER YOU ARE RIDICULOUS!

The falling sensation, along with vibrations, are typical of WILDing, as well as conscience-exit projection (if you believe in OBEs). Personally, I get hypnagogic imagery (a ****-load of audio), not heavy, but large amount of vibrations, and then, on the very edge of entering a dream, a falling sensation, but up for some reason. (towards my ceiling, to prevent any confusion.) |

Willing to talk about/listen to anything you have to say.
Intriuguing. Thanks for the replies, though, I've been curious, and I also feel lucky to be able to experience dream states such as that with very little to no experience/practice. |
