      Why I'm crazy about DEILD

When I first joined this forum and started looking at ways to induce lucid dreams I stuck to trying to WILD and MILD. They worked sort of okay, but I still had a better chance of just getting lucid on my own in a DILD.

Now I think I've found my preferred method. DEILD, or Dream Exit Initiated Lucid Dream. To learn more about it look it up in the tutorial section.

Since I've gotten the knack of it I just have one normal dream a night, then I use it to set up a string of DEILDs. It is not unusual for me to have as many as 3 or 4 DEILDs in one night, especially if I start the cycle on one of my pre-REM dreams.

I recomend this technique because it has the potential to give you lots of lucid dreams with very little effort. I only worked at it for about two weeks before my first success. After that it was just a matter of getting the knack of it. Now nearly every night I use this technique. I am successful at inducing at least one lucid over 80% of the time (or I fail only 2 out of 10 tries).

      Sounds good.

So how many lucids do you have on average, lets says every week?

More than I like to publicly admit to. If you really want to know, send me a private message.

      So thats what its called...

Heck, I do that without even tryin'!

Ya see, it's were you wake up from a dream, then go back to sleep again right were you left off in your dream. You enter straight into REM, so most of the time you enter lucid.
What if I told you that I am dreaming right now?
That your whole life is a lie?
That the laws of physics as you know them are incorrect?

Furthermore, what would you do if I told you I'm going to wake up as soon as you finish reading my signature?

So thats what DEILD is? I've done that a few times by accident while trying to WILD.

Ill wake up, turn off my alarm, then start trying to WILD, but fall asleep like straight away by accident because i lose concentration for a second, then bamn i got my LD anyway.

Attempting to fly off a cliff is NOT a recommended reality check.

Yeah, every time I try it, I end up drifting off into a non-lucid dream again. With maybe some elements of the previous dream still in there. And then when I wake up, I usually have forgotten the first dream.
In dreams of unspeakable joy—of restored friendships; of revived embraces; of love which said it had never died; of faces that had vanished long ago, yet said with smiling lips that they knew nothing of the grave; of pardons implored, and granted with such bursting floods of love, that I was almost glad I had sinned—thus I passed through this wondrous twilight. —George MacDonald
