WEIRD occurrence in first real Lucid. Comments??

Well, I FINALLY had a REAL Lucid dream last night!

I say real because the previous ones I've had I was never able to keep calm enough to stay in the dream longer than 10 seconds or so.

I posted about my struggles with these previous dreams in a post a couple of weeks ago in this thread:
      http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=57007

Anyways, In my lucid dream last night, I was a room and in front of me was 2 windows with red, thick velvet blinds. Almost exactly like this:

So as soon as I realized I was dreaming, I was facing these blinds and I felt the excitement surge through me like it always does but this time I noticed the blinds while I was trying to calm myself down and it seemed to MIMIC my excitement, literally. They contracted all the way to the sides while I was feeling very excited, and slowly started coming together as I relaxed, and I got a little excited again randomly and they contracted again to the sides and I finally was able to compose myself and relax completely and the blinds also "relaxed" and went back together. After this I went on and enjoyed my first LD by experimenting with going through walls and flying for about 10 minutes.

But has anyone else had the experience of seeing feelings inside of them being actually expressed by an object in your dream world? I thought it was interesting that my feeling of excitement was somehow manipulating the blinds because I've read lots of posts of other people's LDs and no one I remembered mentioned anything like that.

      Happy LDing!

well maybe this happened initially due to your emotions, but if you were expecting it to keep happening as you were growing excited and relaxed, it's possible thats the other reason for it. Whenever I expect things to happen in my dreams they pretty much always do

Congrats on having a lengthier LD.

I'm a believer that manifestations of things like emotions or concepts can appear in dreams, so it seems to me that the curtains' representation of your emotional state is entirely possible.

Unless, as written by skunk, you were accidentally willing it to happen by expecting it.
