      Flying Problems

I was having a dream a while ago and I became lucid so I decided to try flying. I was flying like Superman and I wanted to go higher. I tried going really high and I got stopped. I couldn't go any higher. I flew down a bit and flew back up. I got stuck at the same spot. Has this happened to anyone and do you know why it happened? It was still a very fun dream. Thank you.

This has sort of happened to me, only to a different degree. I'll try jumping but I won't be able to get over a certain height. EVERY single time I've tried to fly, this has happened. I can't really offer any remedy though, other than to just tell yourself to break through the barrier.

Yeah, that's the answer I thought I would get and I haven't tried flying high again and I will try again. Thanks though.

I find that it takes a large amount of concentration to keep airborne...if I lose it I fall to the ground fairly slow (as not to be injured, I suppose). But the fact remains that as long as I go all out and perceive where I'm going, chances are I'll get there. Try thinking of what's ahead of you- if your flying straight up, eventually you'll be in space. It's details that go a long way for me.

Yeah, I think that it has something to do with a mental barrier that your brain doesn't want to cross. In flying videogames, there's always the invisivle wall at the top of the map, and that idea that's stuck in my head prevents my from going high too. I just feel some force pushing me back at some point, but not all the way to the ground.
Willing to talk about/listen to anything you have to say.
