      Last night

This is my first post here, I felt I had to share my experiences with other people who've also had them.

When I was younger (around 17-18, I'm 24 now), I had my first lucid dreams. I didn't know what they were at the time, I just thought they were really cool! I had like three of them, and then one more this spring. And again last night, that is.

I was in a forrest with some people, don't remember who. I don't know quite what we were doing there, but there was a river bank next to the woods, and we'd been out on a boat just previous, so I think we might have been fishing or something. Atleast, all of a sudden there's a dog/lion kinda creature next to us all, quite friendly. When it walks away I see that it has a human face! I suddenly think to myself that this has to be a dream, so I do the classical thing; pinch my arm. The first time, it DOES hurt a bit (even in dreams, how are you supposed to know then?!), but I'm so convinced of it all being a dream and I go for it again... And of course it didn't hurt. I can feel that my physical body is far away, so I know this lucid dream's gonna be successful.

So, I tell my friend that I'm only dreaming, and that I'm off to somewhere. I remember from being younger that it's really fun flying, so I go for it again! And it's easy as anything in the real world, and it feels so f-ing real!! I'm a bit scared (although I know I'm in a dream), so I don't wanna go too high, but I go fairly high. Usually when flying in my dreams (I only fly in my lucid ones, cause I kinda realize that you can't when you're in the "real world", duh...), I fly in an upright position, e.g. "standing" with my arms out on my sides. I can feel the air lingering between my fingers, and i tilt my hand to steer and keep my balance. This time I wanna try something different though, so I lean fwd and concentrate to go faster, and I'm off like a rocket! Now I'm in "superman position", ducking branches and electrical posts, when I suddenly find myself out above a large field. It's gone like a minut or so.

For some reason, I want to "try" if I'm dreaming, so I decide to dive really fast towards the ground like when falling (I always wake up then cause I love-hate the feeling. It's fun, like bungy jumping, but a bit uncomfortable still...), and of course I wake up. Right before I hit ground/wake up, I see my shadow closing in on me, like it would've if falling towards the ground for real.

It's all so real, I love these dreams!

I'm a bit disappointed that I had to "test" wether I was really dreaming or not, how stupid is that?! A part of me is a bit scared, so I guess I'm reluctant to being in the dreams for too long. Maybe I'm scared of what I'll do in those dreams, maybe I put myself in wierd places or create things I don't want to... Obsessive thoughts, you know. Yet, I haven't really tried doing much stuff in my LD's, but I've promised myself I will experiment more with things like time-stopping, meeting people and creating scenery. It seems to come easy for me, so I should really use the chances I get.

      Hello there swedish mate .

Yo, that sound like a really cool dream, flying is, I tihnk, my favourite thing to do while lucid . And it's cool you think it's so easy but hey.. it is.. :].
And about that classical pinch thing.. yea whats up with that?? It really hurts in dream too! There are other stuff you can do though as breathing while u have ur mouth shut, and holding ur nose. Or to put ur finger through he other hands palm . And think about.. how did I get here? Cuz in dreams, usually u just are there from start..

And about that diving thing, first I should say, it was stupid! But it is also good not to dream too long, cuz then u may not remember the hole story when u wake up and you want to remember it, right?

Good luck mate, hope you will be having more of these lucid dreams . And I hope I will too, I'm too kinda new to this. I will start with the reality checks tomorrow. At least 20 a day .
      Dreams are cool.. : )

Thanks for the Swedish welcome! Välkommen...

It seems more to me that I'm a natural! I spent quite a long time yesterday reading a lot of stuff on this forum. I didn't have a lucid dream last night though, but when I woke up I was in this half-state you sometimes find yourself in, and for the second time in my life I'm in one of those pre-OBE/pre-WILDs that so many people here talk about! It feels like my body is floating a few inches higher than my physical body, slowly yet intensely wobbling from left to right, and it feels like there's this really strong wind (as if in a wind tunnel) flowing past my ears. I get too excited though, my pulse goes up, and I couldn't go through with it... But I felt pretty confident afterwords, so I think I might be relaxed enough and have the guts to go all the way next time.

What do you people think; are these sensations pre-OBEs or pre-WILDs? What's your opinion?
