      First Lucid Dream?

I'll start this off by saying, im still not 100% sure what i experienced was in fact a lucid dream, but if you read my story, let me know what you think. Was it a lucid dream or no?

About 2 weeks ago, i was laying in my bed. Before i actually fall asleep, my mind is still quite active, however Im physically tired. Im always very uncomfortable before I go to sleep. I can never decide on a position that pleased me. I eventually rolled around into an alright position. I lied there motionless for what to me felt like 20-30 minutes, which I can never do. I felt myself drift off once, but noticed it, and woke back up. At the point I was very aware of myself actually falling asleep, but like never before. This startles me a bit, but it wasn't bad, more interesting. So i roll over and get into another position, this time on my left side facing a wall. Not 10 minutes passed before i fell back into the time when your drifting off, but this time, out of no where, i start to see the top of my bed, only Im not there! I peer over and look around the room Im in. Everything is recognizable. Now this was extremely startling so i lunged my head up and looked to the side of the room which i had not glanced at, my vision returned to me quickly, but i was actually able to distinguish between the two visions for a very small amount of time before my actual vision returned to me. Extremely confused, and a bit frightened, i lay my head down and begin to assess the situation, but fall asleep.

So what do you guys think? Since then i've had 2 other experiences, which i find very bizarre to say the least, since i've not once experienced something like this in my entire life.
