So it came to a point in my dream last night when a small group of 'characters' and I happened to be sitting in a circle on a lawn outside of a school building. I figured that was a good oppurtunity to talk to them and I said aloud, "I'm dreaming right now. Who else here is a dreamer?"
The answers were interesting. Most of them said that they weren't dreamers, but wouldn't say what they were. A few admitted they were dream constructs. One said, "Dreaming? What's that?" and two of them had their mouths open in surprise and said that they were dreamers.
My theory is that those who said they were not dreamers were either dream constructs who didn't want to admit it, or something else entirely. The ones that said they were dream constructs also said that they weren't real, which makes me wonder... are they? If they're aware enough to tell me that they aren't real, doesn't that make them real? The one that asked what dreaming was could have been a young lucid dreamer. Other than that, her answer puzzled me. I suspect that the two who said they were dreamers may have been fellow lucid dreamers that were aware of it, but didn't know that others were aware of it.
Any thoughts?
