      Smile Strange success with melatonin

I've not posted in ages as I've just not had any real success for so long - a couple of random LD's but nothing much really. I've also been going through a spell of incredibly poor recall, but I've not stopped trying. So last night I was browsing the forums here and after a bit of research decided I was going to try melatonin and B6, and ordered some online.

I then went to bed and fell asleep, and when my dream started I remember lying in bed and trying to move my arms but it was an incredible effort to move them and it was almost like they were moving in slow motion. I also had a weird off-balance drowsy sort of feeling in my head, and I thought to myself "must be the melatonin/B6 kicking in". That's when it clicked that although I had bought them, I had not yet received them so I must be dreaming. I continued to try and bring my hands up to my face to do a breathing RC and the realisation that I was probably dreaming had already made it slightly easier to move.

Sure enough I was able to breath even though I was holding my nose, and I thought "OK, Lucid Dream take 1" (seems a weird thing to say but hey...). I was actually way more calm than any other time I've realised I was dreaming, which is suprising given the length of time since my last one, so I unhurriedly swung my legs out of bed and sat up, then opened my eyes. I was in bed in my old room at my parents' house and the door was open with bright light spilling through. I decided to do the door trick to summon up someone I'd been wanting to see for a while, so I shut the door and noticed the halo of light shining through the edges. I said out loud "When I open the door "X" will be standing on the other side" then opened it to see her standing there with a beaming smile. Then, even though she was less than a metre away, she somehow "ran" towards me and jumped into my arms and, well I'll just leave it there...

So yeah, I guess you could say I've had success with melatonin/B6, even though I've not actually tried it yet...

I actually agree with you in principle, but I've done a lot of reading and decided it's something I want to try. Besides, even if they have no effect on my LD's, the melatonin should hopefully help with the problems I usually have with falling asleep.

Not to mention I've not even tried them yet - this LD was triggered by the thought of drugs, not the actual taking of them

haha thats kinda comical in my mind... you thought it was the melatonin, but u only decided you'd TRY it. u didnt even take it... lol. well that proves that believing and self-determination helps with LDing... i think. cuz u believed you would LD from the melatonin/B6 (even though u didnt really think that consciously since you hadnt actually taken them. ur subconscious was just thinkin that u would LD after the drugs... try an correct me if u think im wrong. =p)

It's just a supplement, just like B6. Melatonin does no harm to the body.
