      Really weird "tripp dream"

Hey well to start off i have no idea to really "control my dreams" im not even sure if i believe in it but, for some month ago i dreamt this really weird dream.
It was soo scary because it was like i was awake. I was on the same place as i sleept at. My head was huge and i couldnt move in bed because my head was to heavy. This is like what i can imagine what heroin or such can be like.
The question is can i really be on the same place as i sleep? have never happend before im always atleast out of the same room. Another question is does the "head growing" mean anything? It feels a bit silly to ask this but i know many of you are experienced in this.

I dont know if this is the right place to ask questions soo please dont get pissed
I got more questions i wish to have answered :/ soo if someone is intressted to answer dreamquestions please tell me !

First off, dream control has been proven, so why would you not believe in it? Also, it is possible to dream in the same place you are sleeping.

You certainly can control your dreams, and it is very fun to do so. Some people are more naturally talented, but everyone can have a lucid dream with practice. I have experienced something similar to what happened to you although my head was not huge. I fell asleep on a futon in my dorm room one night and had a dream that I was waking up from that very position, it was a very odd dream which might have been an Out of body experience, I am really not sure.

This may have been SP. I don't have enough information about your experience to make any conclusions, but during SP you know your physical location, feel like you're awake, and can't move. It's also often very scary.

The reason you can control your dreams is because a certain part of your brain (I have forgotten what it is called) becomes active when it is normally dormant during sleep.

I'm not really sure if I believe in you. What do you say to that, punk?

Calm down guys. Belief is a strange thing: people won't believe in certain things despite proof, or will believe in things for which they have no proof. In this case he's only just heard about dream control after believing that dreams are entirely passive his whole life. Give the idea some time to sink in.

This is true dream control is hard to believe if you have never experienced it. Some of us were lucky enough to have it happen to us by chance, others must work for their first lucid dreams.

I have heard that dreams are the brains way of sorting out what is important and what is not, but I think they serve a much greater purpose than that. I am inclined to believe than many of life's problems can be solved through deliberate lucid dreaming.

The idea that dreams allow the brain to manage memories is only a theory attempting to explain why we dream. There's little evidence that this is true as far as I know.
