      My First Lucid!!!

Ok so I woke up yesterday morning at about 830 to call my girlfriend before she goes to work like always, but i was still pretty tired so i drifted back to sleep. Well I "woke back up" and started walking toward my door and felt kinda wierd so I decided to plug my nose and try to breathe ( a technique i had started trying onnly about 9 hours prior) and I could! I was pretty excited and I jumped in the air and started to fly around my room and closed my eyes but could still feel the flying sensation in my stomach. Then I think I lost lucidity and had 2 other random dreams and got woken up by my dad calling me. All in all it was very exciting and I cant wait to have more LD's! Any tips I'd love to hear, I've been writing a dream journal for the past 2 nights. thanks for reading

well done on flying in your first lucid but if you want to make them last longer i would suggest to try and be as calm as you can when you first realize you are dreaming and also try not to be too adventerous for your first few lucids as you will probably just get too excited and wake up.If you are looking for further tips on how to attain lucidity then read my method in the attaining lucidity subforum. Best of luck

Congrats on your fist LD. I had my first one about a week ago, and it's certainly increased my desire for more! I suggest reading the forums for tips, as they've been especially helpful to me. Oh yeah, the journal thing seems pretty helpful as well. I'm finding better recall and a greater chance of remembering dreams since I began the journal.
