      scary lucid dream

      i've had lucid dreams before when i didn't know what they were. i know i'm dreaming while i'm in it and several times i've controlled it slightly. however, nothing is vivid, my senses don't really work.

      one really scary dream i had was when i knew i was dreaming and something undesirable happened, so i tried to wake up. usually when i close my eyes really tight or open them really wide i wake up, but in this dream i couldn't. i tried opening my eyes for probably 10-15 minutes or so and i couldn't so i started panicking like i would never wake up.

      i did eventually but it freaked me out.

      yeah that does sound scary as normally closing my eyes causes me to wake up.It was probably just a one time thing so dont let it put you off

      That happened to me before, it's a terrible feeling when it feels like you'll never wake up. But, like Nightwalker said, it's still just a dream, and don't let it stop you from having more LD's!

      Huh. Now that I think about it, all of my childhood nightmares became DILDs because I realized If I would blink I would wake up.

      And yea, happened to me a couple times as a kid.
      Things done in LD dreams : Levitated other people, stopped cars, made people speak gibberish...

      is it possible to not wake up? like when people die in their sleep (of old age)
      what if i have LDs when im old and i can't wake up one day and i die

      Death by LD doesn't sound too bad, especially if you lived to your old. Hell that sounds like the best way to go I've ever heard.

      Yeah the same thing happened to me about a week and a half ago, 28 days later was happening and this guy was trying to find me in my house so i ran into this closet and hid from him and closed my eyes but then i woke up only to sit up and hear him rummaging through my house trying to find me so i curled up under my blankets and closed my eyes and after a minute opened them to see it was daytime so i knew i was awake and i sat up and it was night again and i heard him walking down the hall, so i ran into my closet and curled up and closed my eyes again and shook my head telling myself im dreaming, then i opened them to find myself laying in bed and i was really rieliefed then i rolled over to tell my wife about the dream and i started telling her and she started freaking out and screamed " its happenening! " so i closed my eyes and covered my ears because i was really genuilly scared then i woke up to find myself sitting, curled up, head down in a long version of the closet i was in before and i stood up and kind of got lucid and got brave because i knew it was a dream then i stood out and shot a fire ball out of my hand but then my phone broke so i got pissed and scared so i tryed putting it back together but then i heard the guy screaming down the hall ( which was really scary btw ) so i forgot what i was doing and that i was dreaming and i hid in my bed again and this cycle repeated for what seemed like 6 or 7 hours, it trully was hell
