Hi there, new here.
So after a bit less than a week of trying (while lurking around these boards and gathering tips), I had my first lucid moment in a dream in three years.
The dream itself was kind of weird, and I was only lucid at the very end. I was a student in a culture exchange program, going to school somewhere in the Middle East. All the women were wearing headscarves and whatnot, including myself and the other American students. I guess in the dream, something happened where the government decided to teach all the American kids in this school a lesson by convicting them of nonexistant crimes and having them whipped. (I just watched Persepolis last night, which probably had a lot to do with the dream).
Anyway... sometime after this happened, I found myself back in my parents' bedroom, begging my mother to let me come back home for good. While I was there, I went into the bathroom to look in the mirror because my teeth felt funny. And then they all started falling out. I remember that one cracked down the middle and only half fell out, and I could feel air against the root (hurt like heck). But after all my lower teeth were gone, I remembered that I'd had a dream before where the same thing had happened, so I did a nose plug RC... and I could still breathe. It took me a few seconds to figure out why it didn't seem to be working (I thought I was doing it wrong...).
Unfortunately, I woke up almost immediately afterwards, and made myself stay up so I could write the dream down. But I'm happy--I've got proof that I can still have lucid dreams! So... now to work on the length thing...
