      Had my 3rd lucid

I'm excited because my lucids seem to be few and far between.

I never got to describe my second lucid, and I didn't think I should because I was only semi-lucid. I knew I was in a dream, but it was kinda like an afterthought, not a full realization. Whats funny is that I was able to fly effortlessly in that dream, and it lasted a good 10-15 minutes.

With last nights dream (3rd lucid), it was very vivid and pretty much seemed like real life, but it only lasted about 2 minutes.

It started with me waking up from bed, it was light out, as if it were morning. I went into the bathroom and started to splash my face with water. I was rubbing my face and then began to rub my hair backwards (if I didn't keep my hair low, I'd have been running my hand through my hair) As I was doing this, I noticed something very odd. My mirror reflection was just standing there, not doing anything. At first, I was like "what the hell??", but then I realized, I MUST BE DREAMING. So I made all kind of movements and my reflection still just stood there with a blank look. I was like "yes! I'm dreaming!" So of course the first thing I did was try to fly. I tried to go straight up through the roof, but it didn't work! So I said, "ok, let me make sure I'm really dreaming" and I did a reality check (plugged nose), and sure enough, I was dreaming. So, again, I tried to fly and this time, I was able to touch my ceiling, and actually put my hand through, but then I fell back to the floor. After this second try, I seemed to wake up.

My question is, why was it harder for me to fly in my fully lucid dream than it was in my semi-lucid dream? Maybe I didn't really believe that I was dreaming?

In any case, this lucid has inspired me to do more training (i haven't trained for months) such as increasing my recall and doing RCs during the day. Hopefully soon I'll be having LDs more regularly!

      Thanks for listening!

Can you just think and whatever you think will happen in a lucid dream. Like flying for example.

      Ah, flying. That's ALWAYS fun!!

If you knew you were dreaming, then you were lucid. Since this is your 3rd lucid, I'd say you're not accustom to strong dream control yet, which comes with practice. You'll get better as you have more LDs.
