Smile first lucid dream in months!!!

hey after joining this site i decided to get back into lds. have had about 4 in my life, around a year ago or longer. but last night, i woke up at possibly 5am from a non lucid dream (cant remember wat it was about.) and then i thought hey ill try inducing a ld. so i closed my eyes again and relaxed and thought about wat i had been dreaming about for about 3 seconds then almost immediatly became lucid!! i was like whoa that was fast!! so everything was black in my head but i was lucid nonetheless. so im like... ok now what... so i open my eyes and i see the ceiling of my room, i dont know if it really was or not my my eyes were not easy to open or keep open... so i closed them. blackness. i tried teleporting or whatever but i guess i wasnt focussed enough on any one thing to visualise maybe. any ideas or tips on what to do when lucid but in blackness? anyways after that i think i just lay there in lucidity, a little bored cos couldnt do anything, then woke up after maybe 30secs. so it wasnt a dream but i was lucid, and althought nothing happened i was pretty stoked about the whole thing like how fast i became lucid when i closed my eyes!

grats on getting back into the swing of things

when ever I get back into lucid dreaming, I first take things slowly. teleporting can be pretty advanced stuff. Stabilizing is important! I would first explore the dream as lucid. Increase clarity. And if you haven't woken up by then, then move onto 'dream powers'.

Try saying light outloud in your dream. It seems crazy but it works! Doing this technique multiple times will increase the brightness even more. From my last dream, I experienced a maximum brightness the technique aloud me in the dream. It was plenty to see everything but nowhere near complete white, so it seems you can't over do it either. I hope this helps.
