yes. Yes. YES! (First on-purpose LD)

      Yay!
Last night I decided to do MILD, but after being asleep for a while. Before I've been too lazy to wake up in the midle of the night but last night I gave myself a kick in the balls and said DO IT.

In the dream I was round my mates house helping out with his computer (Yeah, I'm a geek ) then the screen started going all colourful (only way I can explain it, like when you shut your eyes, those kind of colours). I asked him to check the plug in the back and hesaid it was in. Then suddenly I knew I was dreaming, but some other guy in the back of my head kept telling me I wasn't, because everything was too normal, and I only thought I was because I wanted to be so badly. This made sense, bcause my dreas are usually really weird, so I decided to RT. But I didn't have a watch on. I ran downstairs and instantly was downstairs in MY house (didn't turn a hair at the time ) ran into the living room, looked at the clock, 5:00. Looked away, looked back, 5:20. Walked away tinking 'Aw it didn't work, and I was so sure this time'. Then I thought... wait a minute , looked back and it was 7:00. Then I quickly spun round and round because I didn't want it to end.

This was weird... I felt my dream body spinning, and I also 'felt' my real body turning over and over in bed, but I'm not sure if I actually did or not... Anyway I turned round and my mum was there... I said 'I'm finally LD'ing" (id been talking to her in the day about it) and she said "Cool! Go tell your dad" so I went to tell my dad, on the way I tried to fly, but I couldn't. Normally I would have focused and told myself i could, then tried again, but I wasn't completely lucid... it was like I was so focused on the task of getting to my dad that I couldn't stop and do something else.

When I couldn't fly, I thought maybe this isn't an LD, maybe everyone is thinking, what a nutter for trying to fly. So I did RT again and I was still dreaming. Then when I got to my dad he said "Shouldn't you be waking up now? You've been dreaming for ages" so I grudingly agreed and asked how to wake up. Then I woke up. It was only 7:30! I had at least another hour! Not fair.

That's another weird thing. SOme people have said their lucid dreams only lasted a few minutes until they got better at controlling them. This one seemed to last about 30-60 minutes. Was I just imagining it was longer, or am I lucky enough not to have to face that problem?

This dream sucked compared to the one I had by accident - but I feel like it's the coolest thing in the world as I did it on purpose and things can only get better!

Call it 'womens intuition', but I think I'm on to something here.

Ignorant bliss is an oxymoron; but so is miserable truth.
