      The Dead in dreams

      *sigh*

      My grandfather passed away about a year ago, and I've had a reoccuring dream about him. It's really quite emotional when I start to realize that it's just a dream.

      Usually it starts out with the entire family eating dinner or having some sort of outdoor cookout. Everyone's acting normal (From what I could tell) and I notice my Grandfather there (same old chuckle and cheerful laugh )

      I'll start talking to him excitedly and when he doesn't respond to me I usually grab his arm or arm sleeve shaking him and repeatedly asking if he's real, it usually exaserbates into me yelling and sobbing when he doesn't respond.

      Times it happened that I can remember: 6 times.

      Is there anyway I could get him to talk to me? Or is this a lost cause?

      this is very sad. Your grandfarther will always be with you, just remeber that. And, think of the dreamworld. A way of contacing him, who knows. it really could be him.. , he isn't giving you the attension that you want because thats something you fear, and you feel deprived of him. It's all in your head, Just relax the situation, and don't think about it to much, act as if it's normal and just talk to him normally. It's another chance to talk to him if you ever really miss him. think of it as a passage to the spirit world to meet the ones who have long gone but will never be forgotten. have fun. good luck
